Lifetime risk of CANCER for Singaporeans likely far exceeds 50%.

According to MOH statistics, 37% of Singaporean deaths are recorded as due to cancer. However, this must be only the tip of the iceberg in terms of sufferers for 2 big reasons: Firstly, some cancer related deaths are conveniently recorded as 'pneumonia' because 'pneumonia' is the most proximate cause of death. Secondly, many cancers at early stage are 'curable' with surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, albeit with lifelong scarring and side effects (some cancers are incurable, but cancer suppressing immunotherapy costing SGD20,000/mth can be used to prolong(/extend) a patient's life).

Another approx 1/3 officially die from vascular disease related to bad lifestyle and mainly stress (heart failure, diabetes, stroke, renal failure); again tip of the iceberg because many drag on and are eventually pronounced dead from pneumonia (like Lee Kuan Yew who was warded in SGH ICU on ventilator for pneumonia for at least 2 weeks till dead)... but we all know that vast majority getting pneumonia are already sufferers of pre-existing cancer and vascular disease (like LKY who couldn't stand unsupported during NDP due to his nerve problems and diminished strength due to sedentary lifestyle and tobacco smoking during his younger days)... since 'pneumonia' is primary cause of death is recorded, many cancers and other preventable vascular causes are omitted from mortality statistics due to requirements to publish only the most proximate cause of death as reported (thus the large number of deaths meaninglessly classified and reported as 'pneumonia' in national mortality statistics).

Thus, while on the outside, looks like Singaporeans are healthy and the economy is functioning well, actually below the surface reveals untold suffering as majority of Singaporeans needlessly suffer and die from entirely avoidable and preventable cancers and chronic disease ... All caused by stressful and unhealthy lifestyle that PAP imposed due to undemocratic, authoritarian and class based control that the PAP copied/ continued from the old Colonial British government:
