Lindsey Graham to tell Nancy Pelosi that Senate will not impeach Trump

He won't be removed by the Senate, either.

I thought that there was no chance that he would be impeached. Now, I think that the odds have moved up to highly unlikely.

The Democrats just might be that dumb.

 

That's not likely. There is still the DOJ, the Senate, the FBI, CIA and the Pentagon, plus the American citizenry.

 

Nothing serious then. However gossip about Trump can lead to lengthy and expensive time wasting investigations.

 

I was watching the rules committee setup on CSPAN and of the thousands of comments rapidly rolling in all I could see was outrage against the Democrats. Seems they only listen to each other and not what real people are saying.

 

And you need to recognize the danger Trump's thoughtless behaviors poses for the long established institutions of government under the Constitution. This is not just about Trump & whether you like him or not. It's much more. It's about whether we will continue having a government under that Constitution, or a supreme leader called Trump, who "can do anything he wants." (a Trump quote)

 

I think that the best way to defend The Constitution is to vote out the Democrats, who are trampling all over it.

Fabricating hoaxes in order to convince the citizens that we must forgo constitutional protections and even our system of government, in order to defend against something nonexistent, is a crime against us all.

 

He lied to Congress about who he had sex with, which was none of their ****** business anyway AND a violation of his right not to incriminate himself. If anybody should have been prosecuted there it was Ken Starr for running the leakiest Grand Jury that ever existed. GJ testimony is confidential for a REASON but bought off prosecutors like Starr frequently violate it. In most cases the prosecutors are being bought off by the Mob, so they can kill some poor schnook, but in this case Starr was bought off by the Republicans, (big difference) so they could impeach Clinton.

 

And any crime possibly committed by the Dear Leader is a "nonexistent hoax", no matter how much evidence for it is presented. Neat, how that works out for you there.

 

He could have pled the 5th and not lied. Lying was his choice. He chose to commit a felony.

 

He might be indicted on a state charge.

 

Yes, he might, by the NY Democrats. Not sure that would be a good move though.

 

Why not? And there IS more than enough to convict him based on the Mueller Report alone.

 

For that, he should have been tossed from office.

A couple of reasons. Trump has some very powerful and well connected friends in New York, he's becoming a very popular President and, most importantly, he has done nothing wrong.

 

How so?

 

In fact it was their business because, ironically enough, Bill Clinton had recently signed into law an act that would make men in power susceptible to charges if they had sex with a female employee in the same company. The President of GM, if I recall, was forced to resign for having sex with his secretary (who he later married), which happened to a couple of other politicians also. It was all supported by NOW, until Clinton was accused.

It was the big issue of the day, just as with wedding cakes and bathrooms later, but Democrats never expected they'd be caught up in it. This 'consensual sex' excuse didn't work. It was all about power.

 

Nobody made Clinton lie. He broke the law.
