I can assure you that I have zero investment in a commercial enterprise but still, I've got to tell you about the finest damn news source there is: MSNBC, which is available on many cable line-ups and can always be streamed from msnbc.com using just your web browser.
MSNBC is far better than CNN. MSNBC has assembled a crack team of hosts and, more importantly, expert contributors; consisting of great military minds, law enforcement officials, lawyers, former DOJ bigwigs, political insiders, lifelong activists plus several former Whitehouse staffers. Their morning show is hosted by former U.S. Congressman Joe Scarborough. You won't be shielded from the God's Honest Truth when you tune to the best news source there is in all the world.

 

What does the Illuminati have to do with that?

One should always get their news from a variety of sources and use their discretion and common sense to figure out if they're being lied to.

No one should ever say that only one source can be trusted. That's a recipe for disaster

You would have to give me your definition of rubes because when someone says Illuminati that's typically associated with a secret organization that is supposedly running the world and Hollywood and whatnot

 

I can clear up any confusion by substituting the word intelligentsia for illuminati, as they are nearly identical. Intelligentsia is defined as, "the intellectual élite of a society, the intellectuals, the professional classes".

 

If the media are the "intellectual elites" of this nation, then this nation is in serious trouble.

Left or right they all have an agenda. If they can control the information you see, they can control how you think and feel about the issues that they wish to manipulate you to feel a certain way on.

I think we left any non-biased source of news behind in this nation probably a good 35 years ago

 

You're dead wrong FatBack. MSNBC tends to lean progressive but only because truth is on that side. The folks at MSNBC are straight-shooters and nothing less. A lot of their contributors and hosts are known to be conservative and/or Republican, such as the aforementioned Joe, Michael Steele, Charlie Sykes, John Brennan and George Conway.

I have watched it before and they are clearly very left biased.

The Illuminatti in modern terminology only exists as an organizational structure of 'circles within circles', different groups that may share a member or two but largely don't know what the other groups or doing or if they even exist. Each group thinks its 'running the show', but is in fact a tool of another group, that is a tool of another group, and so on. Not unlike our corporate structure of interlocking directorateships whereby one person can sit on the board of directors of multiple -even competing- corporations. With sufficiently sophisticated and compartmentalized network, much could be accomplished in the arena of surreptitious control of basically anything, given the amounts of money and influence involved.

Try and recall the Jan6 hearings and how the vast majority of damning witness statements came from Republican statesmen and their assigns. So MSNBC has those which I cited 5 very strongly conservative and Republican voices, opining daily in most instances. Joe Scarborough and Michael Steele are daily and the other 3 are frequent contributors. Yet the consensus still results in Trump being seen as a bad actor, a petulant child, liar, schemer, traitor. Watch the channel again for the first time and pay close attention to the credentials (displayed when a contributor first interjects) and you will see I am right. It is unbiased news delivery.

That makes you vulnerable to miss and disinformation.

My dad always told me that if you don't watch the news you will be uninformed but if you do watch the news you will be misinformed.

It is not unbiased at all. I watch MSNBC often because I agree for the most part, but their left bias is pretty obvious. They may be telling the truth, but it is too often done with dripping disdain for the right wing subject being discussed.
