Trump does not live in the real world, he lives the life of the elite and believes himself to be a member of the elite class. So yes, he is completely out of touch with reality on several levels.
I still want to know how anyone can be worth $250 million dollars, and not have a huge business? Well...then there's that foundation - pay for play....
How did he manage to get the working class vote then ?? As Michael Moore correctly observed - the election of Trump is the biggest 'f*** you in human history'.
Yes, Trump has a pistol license, that makes him a member of the real World. I hope Trump pushes for National reciprocity of concealed carry and the elimination of GCA of 1968 and to repeal the Various other stupid Gun Laws, NFA of 1938, the 1986 ban on Civilian transferable full automatic Firearms.
Trump is a the ultimate shyster and con artist. Does the term "if it sounds too good to be true" ring any bells? And yes, let's throw in "beware of what you wish for" while we are at it. Oh, and I almost overlooked "there is one born every minute" which is the mantra of people like Trump. Trump has been given the power and the position. What he does with it next remains to be seen.
Good, I am glad, Hillary Clinton as President was a worse fate. I am enjoying the Democrats tears. Boo freaking Hoo !!! 😂 😂 😂
For sure to be full off topic here ... but when a platoon of our tanks and a platoon of infantry wiped out several times complete companies, the side who made lol was not the Big Red 1. But OK, this is no "my one is longer as your one thread" here...
you speak of the American peasant doing it themselves when you also advocate taking their jobs away with robots or automation, which is it? Trumps wall and tariffs gives the uneducated and unskilled the ability to do it themselves when their competition from cheap labor is removed, and they are paid high wages to clean toilets or knit clothes. your idea of liberty is for the present king, not the peasant to become a future king from their labor.
this is the book definition of supply side economics : Supply-side economics is a macroeconomic theory that argues economic growth can be most effectively created by investing in capital and by lowering barriers on the production of goods and services. 1) you raise the barriers of the production of goods and services by outsourcing the jobs of the people who labor to provide those goods and services. 2) you cannot invest in capital when you allow investment capital to leave American shores. 3) supply side economics is based on the rule of law, unlawful cheap labor from illegal immigrants is against the rule of law.
it is not dishonest, this comes word for word out of the books of the old times such as the encyclopedia. here is another link if you want it out of a specific book. its all the same idea, you create demand by increasing supply right? well you can't do that when you outsource jobs or remove demand with cheap labor from illegal immigrants.
From Mark Steyn: "But Trump really did shatter the glass ceiling. We're told that "anyone can grow up to be president", but in practice you have to be a politician or have won the Second World War. Trump is the first non-"public servant" to shatter the glass ceiling. He's proved you can win the presidency without being a Bush or a Clinton or a lifetime member of the political class. He's proved you can shatter the glass ceiling and win without the consultant class, without donors, without focus groups, without a gazillion-dollar ad budget, without your own party's office-holders and intellectuals, and without a "ground game" - without turnout models, without field offices, without three lame-o cardboard mailers poking out of your post-office box every day. In dispensing with all the rubbish that makes American politics as remote and ritual-bound as Chinese opera, he has performed a signal service to this republic". Your daughter is smart, and insightful.
So what about you? Are you another lazy entitled American? Or are you one of those zipidy dooda exalted illegal aliens who are here to grace us with your most excellent presence? I'm saying that you are either lying or furthering a lie. I'm retired from a lifetime in construction. Americans run the gamut in hustle and talent. There are none better. Now maybe you're dredging in the wrong place. Or maybe you simply suck at what you do. But your urban legend about lazy Americans and wondrous illegals ain't landing on my runway.
Supply side economics does not mean that supply creates its own demand. The source of that statement is JM Keynes who both misunderstood and misrepresented Say's Law.
it can be interpreted the way you ascribe to it as well, when you outsource jobs you are outsourcing demand by Americans. when you fill jobs with cheap labor from illegal immigrants, you are also stealing demand by Americans in a free market of and by Americans.
One of the best parts of this election was watching Obama and AF1, fly and speak all over the place the last 2 weeks with his "Cmon, man" msg and get TROUNCED!
Yup. I'm not knocking people from elsewhere. But I'm tired of hearing Americans knocked to justify the crime of illegal immigration.
What keeps that labor cheap is the fact that it is illegal - outside our free market system that establishes the price of labor. We need to end that underground labor market - a goal we can achieved by making that labor part of our mainline economy, while stopping more such labor. And, that second part has already been accomplished.
I'm sorry if the truth hurts, but that is the way it is. The work ethic in this country now is non existent, your personal attacks not withstanding. We have a running joke. If you have a hard time reading the writing on the application, the applicant will probably be a better employee. It is a sad state, but unfortunately more times than not it turns out to be true. American born workers tell you how hard of workers they are. Mexican born works show you how hard of workers they are.
Everyone is opposed to illegal immigration. Even Hispanics are opposed to that. The disagreement seems to be about what to do with the 11 or 12 million who are here. The good news is that the number who are here stopped growing in about 2008 - something that had not been accomplished in modern times.
