there was a time 30 or more years ago when i studied the bible and read the new testament thru many times, since then i have read much more on the history of the bible the council of nicea and the various languages of written gospels their inclusion and exclusion, what i especially like is the more modern souther confederat bible re-written to enhance obedience of slaves to slave owners given to slaves..the point is for over 1500 years of the churches existence the purpose of organized religion was meant to control people as modern nations did not even exist until fairly recently...so you may quote your bible till the cows come home and yet i know the history

We are contracting. And mass migration doesn't change moral values especially when you are mass migrating from countries with radically different values then we have.

Integration takes time and generations and that's when you force them to integrate through societal pressures and not allow them the ability to form enclaves where they can just live as the did from where they came from

So our society is doomed, as long humans still exist on the planet we will be fine.

 

The Bible directs right there in Matthew 5:12 that these people rejoice that they are being persecuted.

 

Ya I think humanity is fine. Our society? Our values? Not so much. We will get bred out. In that sense we are a failed society with failed values which brings us back to the original question.

Those societies that hold traditional religous values focused around the family unit will be the ones that come out on top. And I'm not even religious but I can see how those societies have stood the test of time over thousands of years.

 

Except that this is the first time in history where people all around the world have been able to communicate directly with each other without the influence and guidance of preists, soothsayers, politicians and bureaucrats etc.

I'll be the first to say it's gotten off to a pretty crappy start but it's still early days and this is a whole new era of interaction and as yet unimaginable social paradigms.

 

None of that communication is going to prevent the fact that our progressive society cannot reproduce at a replacement rate while the religious one can and more so.
