I wonder if YouTube is watching a large fall off in engagement and other metrics. So many tech companies and so many entertainment companies are busy dictating to their customers rather than serving them and at some point the damage is done, the money is gone and people move on to new solutions to get what they need in terms of news and information.

That along with the fact that we now have proof that at least two elections have been directly influenced by the FBI and CIA with regard to claims of Russian collusion and the Hunter Biden laptop being foreign interference. Smart money knows that people that will go to those depths won't stop when it is time to make sure they just participate in a free and fair election.

That link helps if you're not up to date.

Clearly companies like YouTube knows that Democratic incompetence and the growing claims around not only elections but governing failures in blue cities and states cannot be hidden any longer. They are hedging their bets and trying to make sure they aren't backed into a corner. These are the sorts of moves big players make before something major drops. I suspect the videos of drugged out zombies, shoplifting, smash and grabs, and so much more can only be held back for so long. Viable competitors are just grabbing those eyeballs and clicks. Alphabet aka Google laid off 12k people earlier this year and while their first quarter results beat estimates those estimates were for lower results than the year prior. Basically their results were less terrible than was expected.

Expect many more changes like this as we get closet to election season. The tide cannot be held back much longer.

Don't worry, there will always be spaces on the internet for folks to indulge their fantasies.
