Hey there. I am looking to see if anyone out there shares my beliefs in the following. If you agree with all the viewpoints I've listed, please feel free to message me. We may also discuss varois other viewpoints in the rest of the thread. Thank you. I appreciate any responses. Do you support: Death Penalty LGBT Rights Censorship of Hate Speech Torture of Terrorists , Criminals, and Enemy Combatants The Patriot Act Pro Choice Stance Do you oppose: "Freedom of Speech" Theism Racism Communism Sexism Open Borders
I'm against: Death Penalty LGBT rights (outside of general human rights) Censorship of hate speech Torture of Terrorists (however, I may have a different definition of what's torture, and what's just tough interrogation) The Patriot act--should never have been made permanent. Pro choice stance. Racism Communism Sexism I support Freedom of Speech Theism Open borders
Why not? Fat people will have non-fat children and vice versa. We all carry the same genes, even if they end up being expressed differently from one individual to another.
It has to be mostly genetic. Look at Native Americans and Pacific islanders give them more than the daily required caloric diet and they're going to be let's say above average weight (fat).
Oh well. Fat is essential to survival in times of fast and famine. It's only now, with so much cheap, plentiful, unhealthy food that it's become so noticeable. Not that it's anything to you if some people are overweight, anyway. Unless you're going to try and claim that it's an expensive healthcare issue that you don't want to pay for, but then there are very many unhealthy habits. People of all weights end up with heart attacks due to unhealthy lifestyle, and people get addicted to worse things than junkfoods. - - - Updated - - - Except that it doesn't have the biological functions necessary to survive outside of a womb. Whoops.
Do you support: • Death Penalty - yes • LGBT Rights - same rights as anyone else, no special rights • Censorship of Hate Speech - No, let hate speech create its own punishment • Torture of Terrorists , Criminals, and Enemy Combatants - No • The Patriot Act - Haven't studied it enough • Pro Choice Stance - Not after a baby is viable outside the womb. Not crazy about abortion in general. Do you oppose: • "Freedom of Speech" - No • Theism - I support religious freedom • Racism - Yes • Communism - Yes • Sexism - Needs more definition to give a yes or no answer. I believe in workplace equality. • Open Borders - Yes My two cents ...
I was in complete agreement until you had to go open borders on the last one. What part of countries have borders don't you people get?
I support: - Gay rights. - US troops. - South border wall. - We selling California to Mexico. - Illegal immigration. Mostly more than I expectation.
I think you mean you support legal immigration? Although, maybe not, considering you're willing to sell California.
No. I meant illegals from Pacific and Canada and Europe. Then I likes that Trump said from yesterday speech.
Do you support: • Death Penalty-No • LGBT Rights-Yes • Censorship of Hate Speech-yes • Torture of Terrorists , Criminals, and Enemy Combatants-No • The Patriot Act- Only parts • Pro Choice Stance-Yes Do you oppose: • "Freedom of Speech"-No • Theism- Yes • Racism-Yes • Communism-Yes • Sexism-Yes • Open Borders- Mixed. Not in favor of the stupid boondoggle wall...VERY in favor of going after employers who hire illegals Did I surprise anyone?
You want to argue points in a multi choice poll? A newborn does not have self sustaining viability either, but requires care, feeding, & protection from another party. The mother is just the sole provider of these things before birth. But, i am sure there are plenty of threads to argue the abortion debate. Why did you feel compelled to jump on this specific topic? the question list was pretty broad.
"Do you support:" • Death Penalty - No except in rare, specific, proven cases. • LGBT Rights - Mostly, depending what you mean. • Censorship of Hate Speech - Maybe. What, exactly, do you mean? • Torture of Terrorists , Criminals, and Enemy Combatants - No • The Patriot Act - No • Pro Choice Stance - Yes, to a point. I support Roe v. Wade. Do you oppose: • "Freedom of Speech" - in quotes? What do you really mean? • Theism - for me? Yes. For you? None of my business. • Racism - Yes • Communism - not an issue. Nobody will ever impose communism. Can't be done, anywhere, ever. • Sexism - Possibly. More of what you really mean is needed. • Open Borders - No, depending on what limitations you would have.
You're the one who felt compelled to explain your pro-life stance. That was superfluous to begin with.
Welcome aboard. No. I have absolutely no doubt that there are people who deserve to die for their actions, but trusting our government to make that determination is another story. I support equal rights for LGBT folks, including the right to enter into the same sort of contractual relations (and that's all that marriage should be in the eyes of the government) as straight people. Yes, this also means I think polygamy should be legal. No. Harassment and threats should be illegal, but those are already illegal. No need for extra laws for hate speech that is already covered under other laws. Torture of criminals? Absolutely not. Torture of terrorists and enemy combatants? From what I understand, that typically doesn't produce reliable results. I have no problem with using it in a "ticking time bomb scenario," but those are practically nonexistent. No. Hell no. Monumental mistake. Personally, I think lawmakers should have to actually read laws before voting on them. Depends what you mean by "support." There are situations in which I think abortion is deplorable and situations in which it would be deplorable to disallow them. Hence, I think it should be a medical decision between a patient and her physician. So, when it comes to the law, yes, I'm pro choice. No. Why is that one the only one in quotation marks? Freedom of speech should be paramount, but it shouldn't be used to protect things like tangible threats. Depends on what you mean by opposition and which theism you are talking about. Unequivocally. Yes, I oppose racism. State-sponsored communism? As in Marxism? Yes, I oppose it. Private communes are fine, though. Unequivocally. Yes, I oppose sexism. I'm absolutely fine with security/background checks for entry. I am, however, against any sort of quotas or categorical restrictions based on nation of origin, race, religion, etc. I'm of the opinion that anyone who wants to come here should be able to do so unless we have a rational argument for why that person, as an individual, should not be allowed in due to security risks. Ironically, most of the people who accuse me of supporting "open borders" think we already have the above. We don't.
