Not really. It does not affect the charges. It may affect who sits in the first chair for the prosecution.

In the event there's a disqualification for ethics reasons state law says the case is removed from Fulton county the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia reassigns it. The whole point of taking it to the state is to take it out of the corrupt district's purview to provide ethical oversight over the process. It's very unlikely they'll let one of Fani's direct reports in her corrupt district take over. The defendants are entitled to an ethical prosecution. If they don't follow state law they'll just lose on appeal regardless. Fani won't care since this is a joke anyway and just election interference regardless. But, the judge might.

Wade wasn't properly sworn in when they kicked off the grand jury. Other defendants brought this up previously and the judge gave them incredible leniency under the assumption that it was a clerical oversight. It seems difficult to believe that now. She properly brought on attorneys to help clear the covid backlog, but Fani's lover was the only one she "forgot" how to bring on legally? Doubtful. If they have to undo all his work because he wasn't legally appointed they have to start over. The RICO case was pretty dumb to begin with, a new prosecutor would use their judgement on how to proceed.

We know Chutkan and Engoran are corrupt and some care about ethical issues in their courtroom. But, not all judges are that corrupt and I imagine some wouldn't want to be prosecuting an ex-President with this process and all the drama that comes with that.

He's trying to pretend that a complete lack of integrity on the prosecution team, isn't a problem. This looks like a Criminal Conspiracy to defraud the GA and US Tax Payers.

 

Sad but true. That is the real story here- the collapse of the integrity and honor of a political entity.
No matter who runs for office, we must have a standard of those values that is reliable and trustworthy.
The confidence of the people in government cannot exist without it- and the when government loses the confidence of the people in this way, the nation is in peril.

 

If this were a situation that didn't impact the nation or our standards of justice, it would be like watching a sitcom comedy or the three stooges.
But it does impact the nation and our values- and it's destructive to them. That makes it an offense to freedom, to justice, to honor, to democracy- and to America. Shame on us, for allowing it to continue.

It also tells us a great deal about the true character of those behind it and supporting it- and that is a very ugly picture, not a funny one.
