There are 27 different UN missions in Sudan. 27! That includes 1000's of armed forces. Israel has none of that. Why is Sudan singled out? Why aren't there armed forces in Israel? Why isn't Israel/Palestine been split into 2 like Sudan?

And this is what you come up with that Israel is being treat worse that Sudan? What an utter joke of an example.

There is no country that says Chechnya is occupied.
Hence you're just making it all up

There is no country that says Tibet is being ethnic cleansed.
Hence you're just making it all up

90% you've done is making something up that is not backed up by any country. The other 10% is naming nations who are either sanctioned tremendously and/or got the UN all over it. While Israel has nothing of that sort AT ALL!

So you really have not made a case how Israel is being singled out one bit.
And now that the cat is out of the bag, you're just making a run for it.

    You're right about that.

Science and technology in Israel is one of the country's most developed sectors. Israel spent 4.2% of its gross domestic product (GDP) on civil research and development in 2013, one of the highest ratios in the world.[1][2] Israel ranks fifth among the most innovative countries in the Bloomberg Innovation Index.[3][4] It ranks thirteenth in the world for scientific output as measured by the number of scientific publications per million citizens.[5] In 2014, Israel's share of scientific articles published worldwide (0.9%) was much higher than its share of the global population (0.1%).[6][2] It also has one of the highest per capita rates of filed patents.[7]

Israel counts 140 scientists and technicians per 10,000 employees, one of the highest ratios in the world. In comparison, there are 85 per 10,000 in the United States and 83 per 10,000 in Japan.[8] In 2012, Israel counted 8,337 full-time equivalent researchers per million inhabitants.[2] This compares with 3,984 in the USA, 6,533 in the Republic of South Korea and 5,195 in Japan. Israel's high technology industry has benefited from both the country's highly educated and technologically skilled workforce coupled with the strong presence of foreign high-tech firms and sophisticated research centres.[9][2]

Israel is home to major players in the high-tech industry and has one of the world's most technologically literate populations.[10] In 1998, Tel Aviv was named by Newsweek as one of the ten most technologically influential cities in the world.[11] Since 2000, Israel has been a member of EUREKA, the pan-European research and development funding and coordination organization, and held the rotating chairmanship of the organization for 2010–2011.[12][13] In 2010, American journalist David Kaufman wrote that the high tech area of Yokneam, Israel, has the "world's largest concentration of aesthetics-technology companies".[14] Google Chairman Eric Schmidt has complimented the country during a visit there, saying that “Israel has the most important high-tech center in the world after the US.”[15]

So you agree that teaching Hasbara is akin to beating one's wife?

You really need a source of mine to learn about the Knesset's current composition? If that isn't the illest will...

Google "leading questions" and "loaded statements". Both logical fallacies, both heavily used in your posts. "Wife beating" is a classic.

    Another leading question...

No, our Knesset current composition doesn't say anything meaningful about the percent of right wingers in the Israeli society. You need to know how our political system works to understand this, so don't go there because you clearly have no clue.

Unfortunately, the poll that your opponent quoted is just one of countless examples of the racism/chauvinism that we find in Israel. I'm not saying that all the jews in that country hate non-jews, and I want to be clear about this; there are decent jews, both in Israel and in the diaspora, who oppose the Israeli government's racist policies and human rights violations, but sadly there doesn't seem to be enough of them to make a real difference. Here are some examples of what I'm talking about:

Non-Jews should not be allowed to live in Israel – Israel’s Chief Rabbi

'Palestinian requests to convert to Judaism rejected automatically'

    http://www.jpost.com/Arab-Israeli-Conflict/Palestinian-requests-to-convert-to-Judaism-rejected-automatically-449987

Palestinian conversion requests rejected automatically, Israeli official says

Israel’s authority handling conversions to Judaism rejects Palestinian applicants without review because of their ethnic origin, its head said.

Arab guilty of rape after consensual sex with Jew

Handing down the verdict, Tzvi Segal, one of three judges on the case, acknowledged that sex had been consensual but said that although not "a classical rape by force," the woman would not have consented if she had not believed Kashur was Jewish.

Israel destroys Bedouin village al-Araqib for the 97th time

Israeli forces on Tuesday destroyed the unrecognized Bedouin community of al-Araqib in the Negev for the 97th time in a row, amid a record-high wave of demolitions to be carried out by Israel this year. (…) Despite being Israeli citizens, the Israeli government denies unrecognized communities basic services including infrastructure, electricity, or running water, according to the Association for Civil Rights in Israel…

Israel Is a Racist Country. Take It From Me, an Ethiopian Israeli

Israel commits racist crimes. A prominent example is the police violence during the demonstrations by young Ethiopian men and women a year ago. (…) Another example is the investigation that revealed the pressure on Ethiopian women to receive shots of the birth control hormone Depo-Provera before immigrating. (…) The furious reactions to Rubel’s statement that Israel is a racist country only prove the justice of her claims. They refer to the fact that she’s a woman, an Ethiopian (“Go back to Ethiopia”) and a black person (“a disgusting African”).

Top Rabbis Move to Forbid Renting Homes to Arabs, Say 'Racism Originated in the Torah'

A number of leading rabbis who signed on to a religious ruling to forbid renting homes to gentiles – a move particularly aimed against Arabs – defended their decision on Tuesday with the declaration that the land of Israel belongs to the Jews. (…) "Racism originated in the Torah," said Rabbi Yosef Scheinen, who heads the Ashdod Yeshiva. "The land of Israel is designated for the people of Israel. This is what the Holy One Blessed Be He intended and that is what the [sage] Rashi interpreted."

Citing intermarriage threat, Israeli rabbis ‘blacklist’ families deemed not Jewish

Over the years, the Orthodox rabbis who control marriage in Israel have become increasingly stringent about checking who is a Jew. More and more marriage applicants have been sent to rabbinical courts to be vetted. And just last month, those courts claimed the authority to put marriage applicants’ families on trial, too. Anyone found not to be Jewish is added to a marriage “blacklist,” as happened to Yael and her family.

Israeli Jews are very sensitive, so boycotts might actually work with them, as opposed to Cuba.

Why are Arabs residents of Israel so pleased with the Government in Israel? I can't believe the Palestinians are happy with their government.

i was checking out some news of the ME and the Arabs in Israel were 71 percent pleased with the Israelis government. I hoped at some point you might defend the Jews there in Israel so you would not get accused of bigotry.

Sorry, didn't mean to step on your toes, Dutch. I'm just MADLY in love with Lady Gaga, and I just couldn't help myself.

My guess is that if 'Lorde' doesn't want to sing in Israel, nobody is going to go drown themselves in the Mediterranean Sea over it.... :roflol:
