…just as a Gallup poll shows 83% of the nation agrees the nation is going the wrong direction, another poll shows high numbers of Americans who doubt Biden's "fitness" for office. And nearly two in three say he's simply showing he's "too old."

The Daily Wire discussed the Harvard CAPS-Harris poll of nearly 2,000 registered voters.

"When asked, 'Is Joe Biden mentally fit to serve as President of the United States or do you have doubts about his fitness for office?' 53% of respondents answered, 'I have doubts about his fitness.' Broken down along party lines, 19% of Democrats responded accordingly, as did 83% of Republicans, and a whopping 61% of Independents answered the same," the report said.
TRENDING: 2-party pox: The GOP sucks AND the Democrats want to kill you

Also, on the question of wheth Biden is "showing he is too old" to be president, 62% said that was the case. Only about one-third of the respondents, 38%, said he shows "he is fit to be president."

The poll revealed only 17% of Republicans believe Biden to be mentally fit, and that number was only 39% for rural respondents and independents. Only 36% of those ages 50-64 think he's fit and those thinking he's fit didn't reach the 50% level among men, women, whites, those ages 35-49 and those ages 65 and up.

    Too old?….

his news that is covered by these polls is no real surprise. These are commonplace polling agencies that are reaching these results. Of course the lamestream news media will keep these results hidden from the public as much as possible. And we can count on progressives and democrat hacks to deny that it is news at all and claim someone on the right made it all up since their MBFC cannonized sources didn’t cover it.

Ron De Santis would be in his mid 40’s with young children and a beautiful First Lady then.

I do not support him, but I would prefer to see him run vs Trump

both sides need to pick younger blood for their party

I heard Bernie Sanders may run in 2024 too, I supported him in past, but he too is just too old now

As much as I disagreed with Obama on policy, he lasted two terms in office. And wit large, I've long argued for a cut off date of 60(actually, 55 is probably better.). No more old people in politics. We need people who can remain politically sharp through the term even if I/we disagree with their politics.

Trump is four years younger than Biden and Saunders and one year younger than Hillary. Who do you have in mind for the Democrats? Newsom? Newsom vs De Santis would be an epic battle for the soul of the nation.

Actually, let me get ahead of you; Elizabeth Warren or Kristen Gilibrand(D-NY) will be the Democratic nominees. At some point, women will be disgruntled if they don't present another female nominee and it isn't Hillary. And Kamala Harris was a trainwreck of a disaster(because the minority race card is so worn out, it's not even doing Democrats favors anymore.).

Of the two, I think Gilbrand has better broader support and would win the nomination pretty handily.

do not know, but that means Trump would be the same age as Biden in 2024 if elected, we do not need that

if both parties run younger folks that are clear-headed, I think we're better off regardless who wins

Warren would be 74 by then. I can only hope the Democrat nominee is from California or New York

There's other reasons. Biden, the 'moderate' failed in part because he wasn't really a moderate. If Progressives want to go full on progressive, they will betray the Biden-Obama-HRC coalition and say "see, it doesn't work". The firestarter that is Gillbrand and her progressive politics from NY would make her the perfect democratic nominee that would bring that NY multi-million money machine and endorsements from progressive characters like AOC. I can already see it, if she wants to be POTUS, it's there for her.

Did you really need a ultra right wing source to tell you what should be common knowledge?

    Fascinating.

Biden is too old — likely suffering from some moderate senility. The country is absolutely on the wrong track — serious, making women into state owned incubators because they dared to *gasp* have sex!!! How dare they

And I will likely vote Biden again over what the right wing extremist cult nominates in 2024. Hopefully the left wing grows a spine and nominates an actual leader that can beat back what the CIA and FBI have said are the most dangerous parts of our society.

The CIA and FBI also gave us Crossfire Hurricane and missed out on signs of the Boston Marathon. I have a serious crisis in confidence in our intelligence community.

Gillibrand too faked being a moderate democrat to win her largely rural house district and then upon getting into a statewide office showed herself to be in reality quite progressive.

Huh? Is that the New Math?
    Trump was born in 1946.
    Hillary was born in 1947.
That would make Trump ONE YEAR OLDER than Hillary...

You not understanding that every opinion piece you find or every remark your god has made not being a current event isn’t the moderation teams fault. “Liberals” cannot move anything and I assure you the moderation are not liberals.

Be lucky they are not outright deleting it and / or infracting you over it.

When I first came here there was a moderator here who had an image of Obama as their avatar. I almost didn’t come back after dealing with that back then.
I do post real actual opinion articles in the opinion section. I have some being commented upon there now.

Both parties have fielded unfit candidates recently ...
in Trump's first term there were numerous polls showing that the majority of Americans felt Trump was unfit for office.

The one major difference - many of Trump's OWN STAFF have come out saying he was unfit for office - including two Chief's of Staff.

Biden sees no foreign rival or enemy. To him, all of his enemies are red state or red county Americans who are proudly ultra MAGA who respect the great MAGA King and not him.

    We'll see.

Trump left office with the worst GDP numbers of any modern President - and during his term, more dollars were added to the National Debt
in four years than other President's. If Biden's GDP is worse at the end of his four years, I'll agree with you.
