MARCH 11--Concerned that the meth he had purchased was actually bath salts, a Florida Man yesterday asked police to test his stash, a request that resulted in his arrest on multiple drug charges. According to investigators, Thomas Colucci, 41, dialed 911 last night and requested that a sheriff’s deputy be dispatched to his residence in Spring Hill, a Tampa suburb. Colucci explained that he needed someone to “test the methamphetamine” he had just bought. When deputies met with Colucci, he explained that he purchased the meth from a man at a local bar. But after using some of the drug, Colucci became concerned that the substance was bath salts, the synthetic stimulant. Cops say Colucci described himself as an experienced drug user who “knew what it should feel like” upon ingesting meth. So he allegedly provided deputies with two small baggies containing a crystalline substance, expecting that the contents would be tested by law enforcement. Colucci said he did not want other consumers to purchase “fake” meth from the dealer, whose name and contact information he did not possess. Colucci wanted deputies to “put the person in trouble” for peddling the narcotics. A field test of the material provided by Colucci showed that it contained meth, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office. As a result, Colucci was arrested... http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/stupid/man-seeks-meth-test-568301 _______________________________________________________________ It's always good when problem solving to think several steps ahead...
The fact that the authors of this story call Spring Hill a " Tampa Suburb " makes me doubt the rest of the story as they have no clue what they're talking about. It's not even the same county.
The odds are didn't even vote. What are the odds that someone could pedal a fake story to you guys and you wouldn't question it?
Since the idiots that made the story can't even be bothered to find out what county Tampa Bay is in I'll take the odd to say it's fake
This story doesn't ring true because a 1st year law student could get him out in an hour. Nothing he said prior to the reading of his Miranda rights will be admissible in court. I do believe idiots exist. I just think the prize winner in this story is the horrible writer. It's surprising. Smoking Gun is usually more thorough but I haven't gone there in a few years so maybe it's in the gutter with the rest of them now. ETA: Also, that's not a real mug shot which begs the question "Why was that specific photo attached to this "story"?.
I'm guessing for the same reason they called spring Hill a 'suburb of Tampa" because they didn't do any homework on the story... They didn't even get the county right. @Melb_muser in your rush to post a "merica bad" story, you fell for some BS..
About 20 years ago when I actually lived in Tampa.... Some friends took me to spring Hill and I did some tattoos on them there in their home. It's actually quite a drive from Tampa probably 40 miles. It's actually a very nice place. Pretty rural. The closest place next to it is Brooksville in Hernando county Florida. So yes I've actually lived in Tampa and I know where spring Hill is so I call b******* on this story
And just for those who are geographically challenged..... Spring Hill is indeed in Hernando county but Tampa is in Hillsborough county. So there is that to consider
The other thing that stands out is the article indicates that he said that he's allegedly done enough meth to have had suspicions about what he bought. Anybody that has met a real meth user knows they don't look like that. His skin is flush and his mouth is not misaligned (which usually comes from the teeth rotting away and becoming jagged). There really is no such thing as a "casual" meth user. It's a tough drug and knocks people down fast once they start. The last two hookers I know moved to tent cities to have sex with anybody willing to give them anything. They both lost their kids and they locked one up until she could give birth so they could take the baby. It's a horrible, horrible "lifestyle". I don't care enough to look into it but I'm going to guess this guy might actually be a cop and/or the article was some kind of prank.
Haha. I thought this was real until I checked the link. I also liked MARCH 14, 2022 Crime Woman Shot In The Face (With Water Pistol) from the same source.
Well it looks official.. @Melb_muser has been pranked and tried to pass it off on us. LOL melb muser you should probably spend a little bit more time checking out your sources
Okay I guess you have a valid point, unless of course someone use their report button to cry and get it moved from another form....
Personally I applaud the gentleman. Going out of his way to make the effort to protect the health of fellow crack users.
lol, but it's true, most of the overdoses are caused by the war on drugs and not knowing what one is getting be like buying alcohol and not knowing the percent or what other drugs included in the bottle - being legal makes it safer
Well, should you choose to put drugs into your body.. This is what you get. I was once a drug user myself, this is it constant risk.
As a former user of methamphetamine, I have much to offer on the subject. Should anyone here be foolish enough to think this is a good idea to mess with please send me a private message so I can detail to you the horrors of the reality of this drug. Oh my God it is a thing that I cannot describe to you but if you want me to I'll try... I'll tell the truth and shame the devil... If you are curious what the hell looks like before you leave the Earth and die to see it just ask me and I'll have a conversation with you.
