Man Canvassing Neighborhood For GOP Candidate Got Arrested -- He Was Black

So a brave black conservative (Keilon Hill) who decided to walk away from the democrat plantation ended up going to Iowa to canvass for a GOP congressman, Rep. David Young for last week's mid-terms. The police was called on him because he is black and therefore suspicious -- the young man recorded his encounter with the police officer. In the video, the campaign worker is heard telling the officer he isn’t breaking any laws and that the cop has no right to detain him.

The police officer says that people in the neighborhood felt the man was suspicious because he walking thru their neighborhood canvassing for republicans -- in case you need a visual of how suspicious that looks -- see photo ----> Pretty scary

The young man was canvassing on behalf of Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement -- too bad the citizens in that neighborhood didn't think his presence there was community improvement -- he was ultimately arrested and charged with some **** the cop made up and the charges were later dropped. Determined to show support for his candidate, he returned the next day to canvass Iowa neighborhoods and again, the police were called -- the second time, a nice woman invited the young man into her home so the police would leave him alone.

In a statement, Hill said he hoped sharing his story will help prevent another minority from encountering a similar situation; he said “Within five days of my stay in Des Moines, I had two police encounters, with one ending in an arrest. These encounters happened while I was out working in affluential, Caucasian neighborhoods. I had work materials with me. I stood up for myself because I had the right to." -- unfortunately, most of the people in that republican district you were canvassing, disagree with you.

Because he's a black man in a white neighborhood and some racist twit called the cops. I doubt the chief was even aware of the situation before it hit the news.

Here is some cell phone and body cam video. Do you legally have to answer or talk to a police officer? Was he within his right to walk away?

technically he was in the right to walk away, he didnt have to answer there questions .unless the cops thought he committed a crime

 

did yah notice he was calling into dispatch or a supervisor on the radio while walking behind him he was getting authorization to make a arrest.. i know i done this before in security in the casinos when i know something is close or in the grey area, i would call the supervisor for them to make the call so i would be off the hook if it seem to be illegal.

Kind of what I expected - the Republican guy provoked the cop so he could make a big stink/sue when the cop inevitably detained him.

I volunteered at AFP a few years ago and my "boss" who ran the Milwaukee division was black and he canvassed all the time in rich white neighborhoods without any issues. This is a case of a angry old man or lady hiding behind their curtains calling the cops because they are bitter and old and useless pieces of crap that no one cares about and they can't figure out why their children and grandchildren no longer visit them anymore.

IMO this is just another case of the brainwashing of Americans into becoming snitches with the if you see something, say something BS mantra being push by the anal retentive crowd who want to turn the country into a full-blown police state. It is also reminiscent of the old sun-down town rules that ran black people out of certain towns at sundown.

People are such winey little pansies and it’s become reallly horrible..... and good, depending on how you look at it.

It’s horrible for the country, but it’s grest for those of us willing to put our skin in the game while others will not.

A lot of the success I have built since starting my company is because of this from my experience

What more needs to be said? The person who called was wrong and everything went back to normal once the police questioned him.
