    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/ira...gedly-has-star-of-david-carved-into-his-back/

Apparently a man in down town St. Louis had his car stopped as a group of men attacked him, stabbed him, and carved a Star of David on his back and fled. The man in question apparently was a former Muslim from Iraq who converted to Christianity and later wrote a poem about the horrors of the Holocaust, thus making him a target.

So my question is, how can this not be labeled a hate crime?

To prosecute someone on a hate crime charge, the court has to gleen the motive.

The motive cannot be determined without at least I.D.'ing the culprit(s).

It sounds like it may be a hate crime...but really, a lot of prerequisite facts seem to be missing at this point.

Well there is no such thing as a "hate crime" in the real world. The crime is what it is.

So what do you suspect the motive was for carving a star of david on his back while laughing and singing anti-zionists slogans?

I guess the world may never know.

It could have been a bunch of white Jew-haters that saw a Muslim man and carved the ultimate insult into his back for all you know. What constitutes a hate crime anyway? Obama never was very clear on that one.

Hate crimes were created to help protect targeted segments of the population. Their origination seems to have stemmed from gay bashing and targeting minorities, specifically blacks. So the question begs, do "hate crimes" only have a politically correct application? In other words, political correctness was created by the left so that everyone would learn to censor their own speech in fear of "offending" anyone. It is pretty clever if you ask me. So do hate crimes only apply to those on the left who are victims such as gays and blacks?

I did some digging and found some interesting info.

    http://www2.fbi.gov/ucr/hc2009/victims.html

According to the FBI, if you suffer from a hate crime odds are you are Jewish.

    -71.9% Jewish
    -8.4% Islamic
    -3.7% anti-Catholic
    -2.7% anti-Protestant
    -0.7% anti-atheist
-8.3% all other religions not mentioned combined.

So what gives? Why is being Jewish so inflamatory?

This post is total BS. Look at the DOJ list of crimes committed and the list of "hate crimes" include all sorts of minor acts against black people. Many have no motive or a culprit.

You don't have to have a motive to label a death to be murder if the person is shot in the back of the head and carving symbols on people is clearly done out of hate.

Isn't it amazing how often we hear about "Islamophobia", when Jews are the actual victims of hate crimes? It's almost as ridiculous as when Palestinians claim they are the victims, and not the aggressors.

I'll play, what gives with you?

The FBI says - - 48.8 percent of the victims were targeted because of the offenderÂ’s bias against a race and only 18.9 percent were victimized because of a bias against a religious belief.

That doesn't look like Jews are more likely to be the target of hate crimes.
