They didn't need to search. They were shown where they were. You're avoiding the question. I think it's because you know they had a chance to take everything they saw back in June if the argument was that it belong to the government, but apparently they preferred doing it the hard way with a search warrant allowing them to take whatever they wanted. And if by chance they discovered some documents tying Trump to 1/6, well the real prize was gained.

They can only take what they were shown because they did not have a search warrant. If Trump had them under his bed, it's Trump's responsibility to show them.

It's laughable that if there is an indictment that the above wouldn't be one of the first points raised by the defense.

I guess the FBI just searched the other 2 locations for fun. Trump also wanted to hand over documents to NARA a long time ago, but FBI stopped him from doing so. It's not like we don't have a record trail of his lawyers begging NARA not to report them to the FBI.

 

The only correction I would make is if anyone should be screaming it would his lawyers, unless they were aware there were more, then.....
I think the responsibility falls on Trump.
