So naturally they make exemptions for all of the government thugs.

So they will still be armed and all of the criminals will still be armed but the only people who will be disarmed will be law-abiding citizens.

I swear you can't get more retarded than that.

But it does bring to mind an interesting question... If I as a private property owner and any given state post a sign saying no firearms allowed on the property, does this apply to police officers if they are not in the official line of duty?

Somehow I feel the people who are marginalized and underrepresented will get a pass.

The citizens need to get together and drag their asses into the supreme Court for trampling all over their constitutional rights.

You see the people that call Governor DeSantis in Florida a "fascist" have nothing to say when real fascist actions do occur.

probably not if the state considers them on duty 24/7 like in MD, as a Correctional Officer we are 24/7 employees meaning we can be called in at any time and are never truly off. They'd be a prick though if they went into someones house out of uniformed armed when asked not to.

ROFLMAO.... guns are outlawed at schools. I am certain that will make a difference to the next school shooter. Will they:
    1. Not attack the school with a gun because guns are outlawed at the school.
    2. Specifically target the school because there is nothing but potential victims on the property.

When did common sense become uncommon?

It's really simple to prevent homicides via guns at least.

    1. Ban membership in criminal organizations. No person shall knowingly join or partake in a gang that partakes in criminal activity, violators of this legislation shall face a maximum penalty of 5 years.

    2. Impose harsh penalties for legal buyers who allow their weapons to get into the hands of prohibited persons. No person shall gift, sell to a prohibited person, or allow their firearm to get into the hands of a prohibited person, any person who knowingly or unknowingly violated this statute shall be punishable with up to 10 years imprisonment. Any person who files a police report within 48 hours of their firearm missing shall be immuned, unless report is found to be untrue in which case they will face a mandatory 15 years in prison.

These 2 laws would get the vast majority of criminals off the street and stop the flow of illegal weapons into the state. The first law would allow easy convictions since Gangs love to tattoo themselves, they could be raided and rounded up with little to no effort. With in a year the streets would be cleaned up.

But we're not supposed to believe that Democrats are trying to disarm law abiding citizens

I think you are really onto something smart with #1. Too bad our politicians cannot come up with anything logical and common sense like that. They don't believe in deterring, they believe in letting the mess happen and cleaning it up afterwards.
