I know that for some people facts are not important. It's their perception that counts and it doesn't matter that they live thousands of miles away from the place in question, they still know better.

We have received our share of refugees where I live.

Either way I find it a hyper partisan tactic that sickens me and disallows any real discussion or discourse. The Left tends to use it a bit more but you find it all over The Right as well, call it 60/40 L/R imo.

It's perfectly reasonable when people are holding others responsible for what a few did, that the sword just cut both ways. And the crud fact is that nobody in the west has ever been held accountable for the absolute massacres they are responsible for in the middle east. And those massacres just dwarf sexual assaults. How horrible it is, those women get to tell what happened and go on with their life with the struggles that go with it. Not the dead though, not the dead.

 

Fine, but criticizing others for thin slicing a group based on the actions of a few, and then refusing to answer a question that puts you in the exact same position as those you criticized makes it obvious that you are a hypocrite. There can be no other reason for evading the question.

 

When some do that, and I show that the argument cuts both ways,... than it's just rather childish to cry foul at that point. I laugh at the crying with great joy.

100% wrong. It speaks to the exact issue you are criticizing others for. It makes you a hypocrite. If causing aggravation gives you joy, wouldn't that make you the troll?

I think it is safe to assume that you hold all gun owners responsible for the actions of a few, but criticize others when they apply the same logic Muslims. This is not meant to insult you; it simply brings out the truth behind your arguments. That is good to know for the future.

Saying "I know you are, but what am I!" is not an argument. I made a case that you criticized others for holding a large group responsible for the actions of a few, and then showed that you are in no position to criticize because you do the exact same thing. Its not just you; there are many hypocrites when it comes to these issues and I will always call em as I see em.
