Prominent media figures took to Twitter to vent their anxiety over former President Donald Trump calling on Americans to protest his potential arrest and "take our country back."

Many pundits associated Trump’s message, which he put out over Truth Social, as a call to violence and more "January 6 talk," referencing the Capitol riot that happened in January 2021.

The former President put out a lengthy Truth Social message decrying the news that the New York DA is likely to arrest him next week. …

This is so typical of the mainstream media. Unrest? They never complain about unrest when the far left progressives protest something they don’t like. Mostly peaceful they say. Trump is right to call for protesting this corrupt DA’s charges if he brings them.

 

The coverage of how other media treat this story is interesting. Protests against Trumps arrest should be every bit as peaceful as the Floyd protests in 2020 were and in the same places. Americans should calmly and peacefully rally against this attempt at a miscarriage of Justice, all across America we should have pro Trump car parades on our freeways and boat parades on our waterways, and parades in our small towns.

 

What was the point of the Orange Failure whining for protests?

There are real victims in the world. Trump is not one of them. What makes this potential arrest a "miscarriage of justice"?

This article isn’t about Trump or what he said. It is about the lamestream news media and how they are covering/ reacting to what he said, making it different from other articles here.

 

Well, he does have a history of encouraging violent hordes of his supporters to commit violent acts.

I do think they are playing it up more than is currently warranted, but I expected no less from them. I don't think the chance of something reminiscent of J6 is 0 though. I don't even think the chance of something much worse is 0, but I think Trump's crowds aren't what they used to be, and the center of attention being in NYC so far away from most of his base, that we don't see much to get nervous about.

So....how exactly would you protest to take the nation back as he suggests? Internet activity on some platforms are suggesting supporters should go to the MAL compound armed to "protect him"......do you think this is what he wants especially since his lawyers told journalists TODAY that they have zero indication re the Tuesday claim AND, networks are now reporting that Trump is fund raising on this claim of arrest on Tuesday?

 

Violent riots and unrest are a leftist tradition. Funny that they point their long crooked fingers at Trumps call to merely protest, which is a Constitutional right. Apparently, to leftists, the equity in peace in our nation which peace exists by virtue of conservative civility can only be dashed to pieces by self righteous leftists and their violent mobs. The left is a jealous God, more wicked and hypocritical by the day.

 

I am unsure of what law Trump is supposed to have violated.

 

Maybe we should wait until the indictment comes out to confirm.

 

I really don't know if trump will be arrested or not. But to get arrested, one has to be indicted with an arrest warrant to boot. That being said, I think Trump is setting something up. The law enforcement side ghas not said one thing about an arrest warrant and no grand jury has convened to indict. There was an investigative grand jury that made recommendations in Georgia, but none in NY or anywhere else. So, I have no idea if one will be issued one way or the other.

That being said, let's look at the possibilities:
1. No arrest comes. No indictment comes. Trump will simply use this to further his own cause by orchestrating a protest stating that if he were actually arrested, his supporters will riot after the street. Another January 6th if you were. Remember, Trump got his information from "illegal leaks" and there has been no definitive proof. Some have said "an indictment is forthcoming" but that could mean anything. Somehow, Trump got it into his brain Tuesday is the day. And thus, he is setting up a very low bar for his followers and will then use that to his fullest advantage along with trying to delegitimize law enforcement and the judicial process.
2. If an indictment does come from NY and he is in Florida, do you honestly think Gov. DeSantis will allow LEO to do their job? If yes, then Trump will show that DeSantis is not a true "patriot" and will double down with Tiny D or Ron DeEstablishment or something else. Trump is trying to use this situation to bolster his die-hards NOT to vote for DeSantis, which is why I think that is the true intent of DJT, to "scare" DeSantis into NOT running.
3. If an indictment does come from NY and he is in Florida and Floridian Law Enforcement decides to acquiesce on arresting DJT, Donald will then use this to his advantage with that low bar stating that Floridians are behind him, not DeEstablishment or Tiny D.

All in all, Trump is trying to set up the situation to his fullest advantage. Not because he is innocent or he did nothing wrong, but to win the GOP nomination, nothing more, nothing less.

The GOP is about to go to war with Ron DeSantis with Trump leading one faction and the disenchanted by DJT with Ron DeSantis and all the other GOP candidates on the other. It is not a shooting war, but a shouting war, and it will be aired on the airwaves and on the internet, among other places. This is where the GOP goes to die, quite literally

 

Pelosi said protesting is patriotic and our country was built on a protest over taxes.

Sharpton organized protests where people got murdered.

Jackson organized protests where people got murdered.

AOC and other democrats were arrested at the Supreme Court protests.

How many democrat politicians have showed support for protests over the years? Didn’t de Blasio say he was proud his daughter protested and was arrested during the Fentanyl Floyd riots?

A great example is the bank bailout for the elites last week followed by a statement that no such bailout would be coming for the small banks. Instead of talking about this corruption that affects millions of ordinary Americans, we are talking about Trump yet again.
