Here's a list of headlines from 10-20-2009; 4 days before The Obama declared a national emergency re: H1N1
    https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=cnn+october+20+2009
On November 12, 2009, the CDC reported an estimated 22 million Americans cases and 4,000 deaths.

Here's a list of headlines from 3-9-2020, 4 days before Trump declared a national emergency re: Covid-19
    https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=cnn+marcy+9+2020
On March 19 2020, the CDC reported 10442 American cases and 150 deaths

    Note the difference?
Why do you suppose CNN all but ignored H1N1, but was all over the Covid-19 story?

2009 was not an election year, and Trump was not president.

By the time November 12 rolled out the virus had been in the US since April, tests had been preformed and a vaccine had been developed. Up until then the country had functioned under a national health emergency and a world health emergency. The situations are quite different.
I don't think supporters of the President want to look at how some of his favorable news outlets covered covid-19 early on.
I also feel it is wrong for people to use the national emergency to make petty political points about anyone.

You might want to read the following: https://www.factcheck.org/2020/03/trumps-h1n1-swine-flu-pandemic-spin/

In a way he brought it upon himself, simply by being a president the media hates. Anything he does, if there is any negativity at all, will cause them to pounce. Like when, for the first time, Trump closed the border to Chinese travelers very early on -- an action which probably held down US cases by magnitudes -- the media and Democrats jumped all over him for being racist and a xenophobe. If on March 19, 2020 there had been only 12 deaths they would have yelled about that to high heaven. The media is getting better because they have no choice over the facts of the pandemic and they see their support falling.

Hmm. Obama didn't declare an emergency until 1 month before that - that is, near the -end- of the pandemic.
    How's that compare to Trump?
And how does that explain the difference in coverage>?
When you start calling out the people doing exactly that re: Trump, I'll take this seriously..
    There's -plenty- of examples.

There certainly was a bias....but you have to remember too, when the Chinese Virus hit, the media and the left were focused on the their hoax impeachment and not paying attention, nor paying attention to the President's quick response to it, that is restrciting travel to and from China (well some dems did, the NY Times said he was overracting, and Biden called him racist for doing it). Moreover, the Swine Flu, which started in Mexico, didn't impact the economy as much, China happens to be the worlds factory and much bigger impact

One has to wonder if the C-19 would have affected the economy as much if it got the same coverage as H1N1, or if H1N1 would have affected the economy more if it received the same coverage as C-19.

And while China is the 'worlds factory', the economic effects didn't start until -well- after the virus came out.
That is, the fear wasn't what would happen in China, but what would happen in the west .

When the Swine Flu broke out though...the Dems and Obama already had us on the path to double digit unemployment.....not sure if it was noticed

As I said Obama handled it differently than Trump has, just because it was handled differently doesn't mean that either person didn't handle it, or that one was right while the other was wrong.
About calling people out...if I don't call everyone out for using the epidemic to make cheap political points then i am responsible for your cheap political points?

Your complaint should be against the CDC and the WHO both of which GROSSLY underestimated the number of people afflicted and the number who died as a result of H1N1 virus. The media pays attention after the problem is highlighted, which this never really was.

    Uh huh.
And how does that explain the difference in coverage>?
    Um... wut?
When have you called the anti-Trump people out for making political hay over the C19 virus? Examples?

You accused me of having a persecution complex for my response telling people to click a link and read a story that actually exists.

    Try harder.
