Westboro Baptist founder Fred Phelps was a democrat. Supported Democrats, heck, he even ran as a democrat and thousands of democrats voted for him. Why are you talking about him on the right?

Does one really need to watch the video after reading the OP prologue? Why would anyone with half a brain ever watch a video of Kelly arguing with some retard that hates America. What on earth could be learned from that exchange?

This is one thing that is wrong about tenure. The university finally found something they could use to get rid of the jerk......but not before he tainted a LOT of minds with his filth about America.

My only point is, that you can get 7-8% of the population to believe anything.

I’m not going to try to get into the mind of Churchill and say he doesn’t have ill will toward this country (given his radical views) , but I have to play devil’s advocate…

I look at these terrorists in the same way I look at hornets. Hornets won’t bother you until you start poking at their nest. This country has poked its nose into so many foreign affairs, and we have finally poked into a culture that views us evil just for existing on this earth, let alone on their land.

Al Qaeda came here and killed 3000 people. They invaded our land. They did this because we defiled their holy land. It angered us; enough to go there (Afghanistan) and invade their land and even occupy it. And we didn’t stop there, we invaded Iraq. And now we are bombing Pakistan almost daily and possibly Libya and Syria. Try to imagine being the people of those lands having American bombs dropping around you. Most are so poor and poorly educated that they aren’t capable of understanding why these bombs are hitting them.

We have occupancy in so many foreign lands (all over Europe, Japan, Korea, etc…); but now we have stomped on land where they have no tolerance for our existence in this world, let alone on their land. Now they are angry at us. After being angry with them, can you blame them for being angry at us? Churchill is saying we are operating under a double standard, and we are poking at the hornet’s nest. Given the culture and mindset of Middle Easterners, you can’t expect that it’s not going to come back at us. Whether we view being at war with them or not, they believe they are at war with us. I think Churchill is putting himself in their minds as to what he would do if he were them. Whether he actually thinks we deserve it, I don’t know; given the radical way he thinks about America… probably. Does this mean he would collaborate with terrorists to make it happen? I don’t think so.

But our foreign policy in the Mideast has been so poorly executed, that you can’t ignore that we probably do have it coming to us. I am on the side of doing everything to prevent that, but we have very little control over what these terrorists do at this point.

Yes, and he was also fired for lying about his credentials. I thought that was the end of that fraud. Did some other college give that clown a job? Amazing, and why is anybody interviewing this con man? Are the media hacks really that desperate?

Blame Howard Zinn. A pure commie, an intellectual light weight, and a buffoon of historian. His hatred has spawn the likes of Churchill and Obama.

The reason acedemicians tend to be liberal, is because those who can...tend to do...and those who can't...tend to teach.

But I can't see just telling teachers and professors to stop being liberals. How would that work? Should we be telling teachers what they can and can't teach about politics and ideology? The soviets had strict rules about NOT teaching theology, or asking students to use critical reasoning to make up thier own mind

1st year college students almost always develop a sophomoric, and unrealistic expectations about how life should be. The normal processes of life usually slow people downand then half od them go conservative, and the other half seem to go liberal.

The worst example of what NOT to do is what the Texas Department of Education is doing in thier public schools. They seem to want to replace school with church, and that's a dangerous business for government to get into, and tax payer dollars should not be spent promoting a specific religion

Now I can agree with that, "those that can't, teach", I have been in business for myself my entire life. That coming from a person who's son is a high school principle, LOL!. I actually hold our educators in the highest esteem, those like my son work their asses off to be great teachers. The indoctrination that happens in our colleges is disturbing to me because there is little if any freedom of thought or exchange of ideas. That is the part of the liberal agenda that drives me crazy, because I actually learn and want to hear from liberals. I'm not so closed minded that an exchange of ideas can be beneficial

She did the same thing with Obama's pal Bill Ayers.

I'm not sure what she's thinking here - is she going sensational for the ratings or is she trying to remind people of the views of anti-American "progressive" scumbags such as Churchill and Ayers?

I can only wonder what she'll drag onto the set next - Pol Pot's fanboy Noam Chomsky? Nicholas "Million Mogadishus" De Genova?

Conservatives disown and repudiate Westboro Baptists. liberals at best keep their mouths shut and many, even in Congress, side with the phony Indian. And the other phony Indian.

Most politicians on both sides are sociopaths. Both parties membership on the whole are generally good people when you look at the rank and file but political forums prove to me were the 1 in 25 people who are sociopaths and not politicians themselves find an accepting home.

That seems just blatently anti education, and uneducated Americans is on of the biggest reasons we can't compete globally.

And it was the liberal left that caused that to happen because they didn't want little Johnny to compete, or have to fail. Liberal America has failed because of not demanding accountability and responsibility

She gave him the rope and he hung himself with it. He was destroyed and the funniest part was that he is so entirely arrogant that he didn't even know it. I am sure his tiny circle of ultra radical morons that he runs with will tell him what a great job he did. Liberals like this truly live in their own fantasy world.

If you want to study a field that isn't worth much to society you pay for it.
