It appears that when you make a statement publicly you should be prepared to reap the fallout. Sadly so many who want to stand up and show their bigotry haven't learned this. Here we have a so-called mechanic who says he won't service gay people's cars. Funny story. He is a criminal who isn't a licensed mechanic and frankly not a nice human being claiming Christianity and acting completely opposite of this. But you don't have to take my word for it.

Do you have to be a "licensed mechanic" to work on cars for a living?

    That's what I was wondering.

I'm not a licensed mechanic, but I could open a car repair shop if I wanted.

That way you keep the little guy down that can't afford to pay the progressive taxes to the state.
That way the left can make sure that only the big auto corps can stay in business without worry of the little guy.
I wonder how many threads the OP started bashing islam?

I think a licence is not too much to ask to protect the little guy from getting their car fixed incorrectly.

Yeah how separate but equal got reinvented as there is nothing wrong with it.
It probably will take some 50 years to get rid of these new jimmy crow fans.

And there is no hypocrisy in islam. Right?
Again these laws are put into place to help only the rich. Progressives regs and laws are built to keep the poor poor and the rich in power. And you trumpet these laws and rejoice in the fact that this family is being held back by the progressive government. Nice.

Does he know he's likely serviced (heh) a number of gay clients already? It's not as if most gays walk up to a store and say "Yo, gimme the gay lube an' oil change!"

So he has been a licensed mechanic he just isnt "licensed" now? What a stupid (*)(*)(*)(*)ing law...wow...wtf. Talk about the government keeping a man down. Hes been a licensed mechanic for years but lets it lapse and somehow he is only a good mechanic if the state says he is (how they know would know if you are a good mechanic or not is laughable at best) not if he has decades of mechanic work under his belt.

Dumbest law ever....they must only want the dealerships to make money...SCREW the little guy. Sincerely, big bad government.

It looks like this guy is getting the Brendan Eich treatment. No doubt he will find any sealed court files "unsealed" and any IRS or any other government information suddenly slipped to activists.

We'll see the tolerant and "nice human beings" coming out of the woodwork to protest his business, send him death threats and force him to shut down.

This is the sort of thing that I feared, every idiot will now try and claim this as a means to discriminate at will. It has nothing to do with protecting a business owners conscious. A car owned by a gay person is no different than one owned by a straight person. This is pure grandstanding and this guy will probably lose his business all together for being an idiot.

That's the first thought that came to my mind.

Do kids need to be licensed to set up a lemonade stand in their front yard? Does a 13 year old need a business license and a master gardener certification to mow lawns for the old folks in the neighborhood?

I'm waiting for the first bridal shop to be sued for telling some flit-boy that they don't want to fit him for a wedding dress.

Dennis Rodman got his dress, didn't he?

I just wished he would have worn it on his trip to visit his friend in North Korea.

    PRICELESS.

And not one single libbie on this forum will absolutely condemn that hairdresser for their position.

I'm all in favor of allowing that hairdresser to react as he did. Is the left prepared to allow businesses to refuse service to anyone for any reason?

The Governor of New Mexico managed not to sue and everything.

Grown ups at play, lefties. Pay attention and learn something.

    BTW OP...

I already identified this mechanic as an opportunist. Too bad for you, eh?

It's amazing how the double standard works around here. Imagine if someone refused to cut Obama's hair or do Moochelle's nails because of their stance on SSM, the outrage would be deafening and that's not even considering the racial component the left always brings up.

Sweet... nothing for the state to try and revoke for him to make a living.
How many times you asked a mechanic to see their license...

    I thought not.

My docs degrees are on the wall, and my vroom vroom is not my penis... which is typically what gets me to my doc.

The car is not different but he has the right to service any one he likes or even allow them in. The shop is his.
