Democrats won two special elections in Michigan, regaining control of the state government. They now have a majority in the House, breaking a previous tie. This gives Democrats full control alongside the governor's office. Lawmakers will focus on passing a state budget and other key issues before the end of the year.

Despite the polls, right wing chest pounding, it's dems who are winning a lot of elections lately, eh?

LANSING, Mich. — Democrats won back a majority in the Michigan House and restored their party’s full control of state government Tuesday thanks to victories in two special elections.

Mai Xiong won the special election in the 13th District, which covers Warren and part of Detroit, while Peter Herzberg won in the 25th District, which contains the cities of Wayne and Westland. Both candidates were favorites in the heavily Democratic districts.

The lower chamber has been tied 54-54 between Democratic and Republican lawmakers since November, when two Democratic representatives vacated their seats after winning mayoral races in their hometowns.

Democrats flipped both chambers in the 2022 midterms while maintaining control of the governor’s office to win a trifecta for the first time in 40 years. They moved quickly to roll back decades of Republican measures and implement the party’s agenda in their first year, including overhauling the state’s gun laws.

I think it's because of the GOP taking a hard right lurch in the last few years. Moderate Republicans are being pushed out aggressively, and the extremists are taking on a larger role in policy making. The average, non affiliated voters do not appreciate the move, in general.
I would prefer to see a better balance, without the extremists jerking the steering wheel back and forth. I like the governing to go smooth and steady, slightly progressive. Not knee jerk reactions and extremist actions at the top of the leadership.

While Trump may be able to woo votes for himself at the national level, he has done poorly on the down ballot and here is another example.

There goes their budget down the drain. Anytime either side has full control, the budget goes out of control.

By the way, did Gretchen ever denounce the Islamists who were chanting "death to America"?
Even the Islamist mayor of Dearbornistan denounced them.

    Alright, care to substantiate this?

If you are referring to the muslims in Deaborn, their "death to America" chants were condemned by local Muslim leaders, and the WH, and I'm not finding any evidence they were affiliated with a political party. I do chide Whitmer and Tlaib who haven't said anything about it, and they should. So should AOC. Bill Maher said 'we've crossed the Rubicon' if chants like this are allowed in America. I do beleive that such chants which suggest violence are not protected by the first amendment.

Muslims have taken over some local governments in the midwest and have instituted some Koran-life changes. Use your AI.

I substantiate my comments, either in post or when requested.

So please do the same. I do not know your work for you, sorry.

You've made a claim, so please substantiate it.

I don't do your work for you.

Either you can substantiate it, or you are blowing smoke.

Right now, the latter appears to be the case.
