Mike Pence: Honduran President Told Me Venezuela Funding Migrant Caravan

Luis Assardo, a Guatemalan journalist, said in an email that he spoke to residents of Chiquimula and was told that some local merchants had given the migrants money while others had offered food, clothing or other help.

First of all, the video Matt Gaetz posted was not shot in Honduras, which he later acknowledged. Google Maps and Facebook photos place the storefront seen in the video, an auto parts shop, in Chiquimula, Guatemala. As Kirk Semple of The New York Times reported, the migrant caravan was formed last week in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and has made its way north through Guatemala.

The video appears to show each migrant receiving a single bill, so the largest amount they could have received was 200 quetzales, equal to about $26. Migrants in the caravan told The New York Times that the Guatemalans generally handed out one or two quetzals, or about 13 to 26 cents, undercutting Trump’s claim of “a lot of money” exchanging hands.

 

It's a lie, that's why it's not possible. My son lives in Colombia where Venezuelan refugees are flooding in to escape the dire conditions in Vzla. There's no way, no how that any Venezuelan leftists are doing squat to Trump or the US. They've got bigger problems there than ours here in the U.S.

This video was from a year ago, before the election of Maduro. Imagine if you can, that the conditions in the capital of Venezuela have gotten much worse since his illegal election and you might understand what little concerns they have for any other country, especially the U.S. Oh yes, and the Russians have quickly moved in to TRY to take over their offshore oil riches. From Chavez to Maduro and now the Russians, they're all getting rich from the largest offshore oil reserves in the world, and the people are getting nothing. That's what an authoritarian autocracy looks like folks. Beware.

It has been reported that there are no ME in the caravan - also - they would stick out like a sore thumb. A total of ZERO foreign fighters went to join ISIS in Syria from Guatemala.

Pence - as is the case with Trump - is not basing his assessment on "intelligence" - it is political pandering. If there was such intelligence the nonsense claim would not have been dropped - as it has been.

The reason Pence is an "idiot" is because Pence is an idiot. Pence is the MVP "Mandatory Vaginal Penetration" candidate. Only an idiot would suggest such legislation. I have no love for Trump but am horrified over the idea of him being impeached - on the basis that Pence would then be President.
