I said an area could be cleared quickly so the balloon could be shot down safely over water. Which is what did happen eventually.

 

So now you're saying the balloon at 20,000 feet was shot down yet in your previous post you said that you don't believe anything was shot down! It is all a show. Tens of thousands of balloons are in the sky everyday and has been happening for decades which no one worried about until the outrage by Republicans regarding one balloon that was very useless for any form of surveillance
