You decide. http://channel6newsonline.com/2010/11/mysterious-missile-launch-seen-off-los-angeles-coast/ Our own military says they didn't shoot this off. So who did? Either way, that someone can get this close to the homeland should concern everyone. This mystery missile launch, which I am sure will fade quietly into oblivion and be forgotten. Poses a serious security risk for the Continental United States, it's citizens, and our military.
It's a jet contrail. I have seen missile launches, both here in Fort Bliss-White Sands, and from Vandenberg AFB in California. For one thing, missiles move a hell of a lot faster then what is seen in that video. I am talking about "gone in 30 seconds" fast. What was leaving that trail was going about the same speed as a commercial airliner. Compare that to these videos: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJ9tgSgx3PY&NR=1&feature=fvwp"]YouTube - Minuteman III Missile Video[/ame] Granted, it is composed of simulation and real footage, but check out the speeds. This is a Minuteman ICBM, and at T+19 (19 seconds after launch), it is already going MACH 1. At T+39, it hits MACH 3. In 45 seconds it is already passing 50,000 feet. At T+62, it reaches 100,000 feet. Now that is the trajectory of an ICBM. There is no way that craft in the video is going even a fraction of that speed. Then here is the missile I work with, the PATRIOT: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT6DzaG_658&feature=related"]YouTube - PAC-3 Missile Test[/ame] Now this is what missiles being fired really look like. That is a huge difference from what that on the video the other day shows. So unless somebody has developed a "slow speed missile", I am not worried at all.
Mebbe it was dem Russkies... Russia Successfully Tests New Ballistic Missile June 28, 2011 - Russia has successfully test launched its new ballistic missile from a nuclear submarine, after several previous failed attempts.
this was talk about in the conspricey theory section, or the thread got moved there at least long ago. the flight number was even found and confirmed.
