Obama, like Bush, desperately spins the myth that the US has not fled Iraq having achieved absolutely nothing in nine years of war.

It failed to monopolise Iraq's oil, has no base from which it can play direct chicken with Iran, and has stoked hatred among Arabs that will see it terrorised in its homeland into the foreseeable future.

Not only that, Blackwater, aka Academi, is back in its thousands. Ready as always to subvert whatever can be subverted.

What we will now see is a more comfortable/comforting proxy war by the US in which only its anonymous state-subsidised "contractors" get killed. The US will arm the Sunnis to the teeth and promote confrontations with the Iranians and their Shi'ite pawns that will eventually allow the US to install another Saddam Hussein in order to "stabilise" the region.

If you think the Middle East is a mess now, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Iraq will only remain stable for so long. Sooner or later, ethnic tension between Sunnis and Shi'ites will reemerge. The one bright spot: Kurdistan. The area has experienced an economic boom as a result of American intervention.

They have already emerged. With the Kurds playing the sectarian game as well. There are "insurrections" throughout the country.

The US is now represented only by Blackwater mercenaries and, probably, the CIA. And they are only there because they are paid enough to accept the Iraqis will hang them if they repeat their helicopter gunship antics of a few years ago.

There are defeats and then there are truly laughable defeats.

The Iraq war was lost long before we even invaded. Easily predictable.

So, after 10 years, and 1 million dead people, we leave Iraq more in control of the Iranians, who the first Bush administration was supplying Saddam Hussein with WMD to keep in check.

Removing Saddam the way the US did, was meant to send a message to any emerging Saddam like dictator, that the way to stay in power, is to do as the World Oil Cartel tells you to do, and keep production of oil at the rate where profits are high. If you do this, then there is no problem, and you can kill your own people and any other people the CIA thinks are threatening, at your leisure.

Similarly, if you follow the orders of US military industrial complex, weapons will be supplied to you, paid for by US citizens, who are terrorized using CIA psychological methods, into believing that some small country in the world is an eminent threat to USA., Aided by AIPAC propaganda, US citizens are led to believe that all non Jewish states are threats to the USA, and being held in check by the vigilance of the Israeli Defence Force. And they expect their 40 Billion dollar check to keep coming, or there will likely be another "Palestinian Uprising" of stone throwers.

Let us all give a round of Applause for Obama, for defunding UNESCO, shall we? After all, such an arrogant move by the Paletinians to go before the nations of the world and ask for a democratic vote for recognition is unacceptable. Why it is nearly as bad as the creation of Israel, except without the tanks and airforce launching a combined offensive as they take control of Jerusalem, declaring the state of Israel now exists and must be immediately expanded in all directions.

Meanwhile, the Chinese are laughing hysterically as the US and Europe descend into financial chaos.

The Americans blither on endlessly about trade protection, unfair currency valuation, and theft of intellectual property.

The Poms and Frogs, as is their wont, poke sticks at one another while their economies sink into the mire.

The Germans and Chinese wait patiently to hoover up the debris at rock bottom prices.

    We left a mark...

Tell that to these guys. If we went there for oil, we didn't get any of it.

doubt there will ever be a war. I mean really, what are they waiting for? The US to provoke them?

Ya, cause the Arabs totally liked us before the wars. I think the Arabs tend to hate anyone that isn't them.

    Those guys are hardcore

Ya, that little Iran Iraq war was totally stable. That place was utopia before America showed up.

So, what's your next "final solution"?

You messed up the Iraq/Iran war (by not winning it), then you messed up your own war (by losing it).

Your next trick (played from another pair of twos) is what?

    Invade Australia?

Yes, kangaroos are the next big energy outlet.
The US is designing aircraft carriers that will be powered by the marsupials.
Smaller ships will be powered by wallabies.
