I do not think Bush brings much as a VP candidate. Sure he is from Florida, so the next question is can he deliver Florida to the ticket, its 29 electoral votes? Florida is a must win state for any GOP candidate if they are going to have a shot at the white house. If Trump is the nominee, I doubt Bush would accept. Way too many personal attacks by Trump on him. Bush is not an easy fit for VP, perhaps for Cruz as that would give you a Senator at the top and a governor as VP. But off the top of my head, Cruz would be the only one where Bush would fit.

If Kasich, he should go for Rubio. Once again two must win states, Ohio and Florida and once again a governor/senator combination.
If Rubio, he should look towards Ohio and turn it around.
Carson, I do not know who would fit with him as with Fiorina either.

Trump is following in Romney's footsteps, unable to deliver his home state and has angered certain supporters of other candidates whereas some would refuse the VP because of that. There is no fit that I can see with Trump, but it is still early and we must wait and see where the chips fall.

    Interesting!!!!!!

This sounds to me like a formula for a USA Republican Party President who would be more interested in a win - win - win - win - win formula that would tend to appeal to Democrats?!

Is a Unified Theory of Modern World Problems even possible?

I began to use this phrase about five years ago.

Well then Bush should think about being an Ambassador. Now that, might be just what the Doctor ordered. For our Relations with Mexico and South America. Of course it would take a Strong Secretary of State. Someone who has an understanding on how to Implement a Policy. Without being tricked.

Romney might not be scared. But he knows that Bush has quite a few of Romney's top Donors. Rubio has Singer and Vandersloot. Were talking the TOP Billionaires that makes things move. Especially with elections.

Keeping Bush around means money wasted to.....money that needs to be used to go after Democrats, and Hillary.

I could be wrong but I have gotten the impression that Mr. Jeb Bush would not turn down an offer from either Mr. Mitt Romney or from Dr. Ben Carson?!

I suspect that you are probably correct about him being unlikely to team up with The Donald.

I don't know about Carson/Bush. But as of today I doubt Carson would even think of Bush as his running mate if he were to win the nomination. Once again I think Rubio would be a better fit for Carson than Bush without the name baggage. Bush suffers from the fact he has been out of office for 8 years and Rubio is more popular in Florida than he is. Here is the latest from Florida on the GOP nomination:

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...ida_republican_presidential_primary-3555.html

17.3% for Rubio, 9% for Bush among the GOP.

Rubio also leads Clinton by 7 points in Florida in a head to head match up whereas Bush lead is 4 over Clinton. So far all this points to if one wants someone from Florida, it is Rubio and not Bush.

His strategy was for the long game.....after Iowa and NH. I don't think he counted anything other than making a showing there. I doubt he will be able to do that tho.

Moreover.....his donors are shaky and a few have switched over to Rubio. After Rubio picked up a Top hedgefund shaker and maker and Singer.

    Interesting statistics indeed!

Somewhat surprising to me..... I had thought that Jeb would have a higher rating in that state?!

If Rubio were to drop out of the race though....... would his supporters go to Jeb???

I certainly am glad that you inspired me to Google his name......

    1) Romney's "time" has come and gone.
    2) I don't support him running now.
    3) He'd be a better president than anyone in the Rephblucan field right now and he'd be 1,000x better than pantsuit.
    4) He still makes Obammy look like a clown.

Because that's one of the few states he'd win, and he knows it.

Romney is a loser, member of a cult and he would not be able to get the huge number of white votes needed to win a Presidential Election but the establishment would rather nominate anyone then Donald Trump even if they knew for certain their candidate would win....so the real question is why do establishment republicans fear Donald Trump so much.....oh my bad...i forgot....he will make them pay more taxes.

You reside in the clueless camp....working people know the Bush camp has nothing to offer them....it also knows they support bringing in more immigrants to take more jobs etc.etc. in other words very little difference between bush and a democrat or any other politically correct garbage.

Of the two, Rubio is in better shape at least in the polls and Rubio has been climbing while Bush has been sinking. I think Florida will decide which one of these two continue on.

It also seems in the mega donor game Rubio is gaining on Bush. The Republican establishment who is interested in winning elections are taking a closer look at Rubio. Rubio has a long way to go, but the establishment types in the Republican party are having second thoughts about Jeb. We'll see what happens.

By that point (February 1st), the filing deadline would have passed in 27 states. Having to run as a write-in candidate in a majority of the states would doom his campaign.

Millions of Republicans will never vote for another establishment candidate. They will either stay home or write in an alternative. It is the new reality.

Virtually all Americans will vote for the first populist politician who calls for giving the money back for all the failed government programs .

The easiest quick sale would be to offer to give parents the *entire* school assessment for school choice - usually about $20,000.00/child.

Couple that with credentialing all college grads to teach and form small schools - huge new voter base - instantly.

This article makes a good point that the word "unlikely" was carefully chosen.

John McCain lost because it was 2008. Mitt Romney lost because he did not run a good campaign.
