The Job Creators Network (JCN), a conservative group representing small businesses, plans to file a lawsuit against MLB and their Players Union in hopes of forcing the league to return the game to Atlanta or compensate the Atlanta businesses impacted by the league’s decision to leave due to Georgia’s voter reform laws.

According to Fox Business Network’s Charles Gasparino:

FOX Business has learned that the right-leaning trade group founded by Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus — plans to file a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court Tuesday morning alleging that MLB’s decision has injured Atlanta’s small business community. Also to be named in the lawsuit, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter is the Major League Baseball Players Association – the union which represents some 1,200 players – and which the Job Creators Network contends played a role in the decision to move the game out of Atlanta to Denver.

The small businesses at their association is right to bring this lawsuit. I hope that it prevails. MLB and the players Union should be compelled to return the event to Atlanta and failing that, cause them to pay reparations equaling the 100 million trebled.

The irony is that the majority of Atlanta small businesses impacted by MLB and the players unions rash decision to move the game are minority owned.

    On what grounds?
Unless they have a contract with them — and one with no exit clause — they are SOL.

Don’t want your teams and business telling you to F off? Don’t elect hyper partisan politicians.
Elections have consequences, this is theirs.

    Simple.

By all means let’s punish the African American businesses of a majority African American city for the acts of a state legislature and give it all to a mostly lily white city and state that has harder voting standards than Georgia's new ones. What’s MLB going to do now that other states passed the same kind of laws? Only have the all star game in cities in blue states? What are they going to do if Houston, Tampa, and Atlanta are all in the playoffs and one of them hosts World Series games or if Tampa pays Atlanta and the whole thing is in those states? I noticed that TV ratings and attendance are down just the the other woke sports.

70% of Colorado's votes are done via the mail. How is that harder than Georgia?

I see you have already changed the direction of your argument, if there is no contract, no issue.

What does any of this have to do with your OP?
That was a quick crash and burn.

Unfortunately these people will be punished so that the Republicans in GA can feel they have a better chance at disenfranchising enough people to win an election.

What is your solution? Force companies that no longer want to do businesses in an area to do so?

I think if MLB announced the game would be played in Atlanta then they set the expectations that it really would be played there and the locals reacted accordingly. If they ‘pulled’ the game they’re implying it was already expected to be played there.

It has nothing to do with "punishing". It does have everything to do with saving our democracy, though. If Republicans succeed in impeding Americans from exercising their right to vote, those businesses will have a much much deeper problem than just not having baseball fans to sell hot dogs to.

No. Those people will be punished for the same reason other businesses ponder to BLM or ANTIFA or Woke or whatever else strikes Democratic fancy. Support, or risk your product boycotted, buildings burned or your storefront windows smashed.

    Is a Democrats way! :D

Business never do what Conservatives want for as a rule, Conservatives do not boycott, riot, burn or loot if they don't get their way.

    Democrats always do.

Why? The game was scheduled by the league, they sold tickets for the game. The expectation was made that the game would be played in Atlanta.

Of course there was a contract. I can't imagine an All Star venue could be set up without contract.

Even simpler, I have told them to buzz off. They have jointed the NFL as former entertainment for me.

Small businesses typically don’t have a contract like you are asserting, some have seasonal contracts but virtually all contracts of that size have an exit clause upon relocation.

What do conservatives have for entertainment anymore, Fox and trump rallies? Church? Protesting down at the local women's health clinic?

Y’all can’t go to most restaurants, Hollywood is liberal, no soda, art venues are liberal, sports are distancing themselves from your extreme ideology. I guess y'all have the shooting range, hopefully not public ones as those are paid for by the taxes y’all believe are theft.

I doubt MLB qualifies as a small business.

    Childish.

What does liberalism have to do with it?

The lawsuit is being brought by “small businesses”.

    Did you read the OP?

    From your link:

1966: CHRISTIANS BURN RECORDS THEY ALREADY PAID FOR TO OWN JOHN LENNON
NOVEMBER 2016: BREITBART READERS FLUSH CEREAL DOWN THE TOILET BECAUSE KELLOGG’S PULLED THEIR ADS FROM THE SITE

NOVEMBER 2017: FOX NEWS VIEWERS DESTROY THEIR KEURIG COFFEE MAKERS BECAUSE THE COMPANY PULLED THEIR ADS FROM HANNITY
SEPTEMBER 2017: RACISTS SET THEIR OWN NFL JERSEYS AND SEASON TICKETS ON FIRE TO OWN PLAYERS WHO KNEELED DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM
2018: RACISTS MUTILATE THEIR NIKE SOCKS AND SHOES TO OWN COLIN KAEPERNICK

So... what so different between violent Conservative and violent Liberals?

Conservatives destroy their own property to protest, while Liberals destroy someone else's property to protest.

Thank you my friend; I could not prove my point better myself even if I tried... them violent batshit crazy conservatives, destroy stuff they own! :buggered:
