So, there happens to be these people, who refer to themselves as "moderates". From my experience, this is almost always a complete lie. 9/10 people are clearly left or right of center, but to be .2 lateral off the center is extremely unlikely. The closest to a moderate party in America is the Whig Party, which even that, is hardly moderate at all. They're entirely state rights based.Can someone please defend to me why these moderates exist? They do seem to always claim state rights and social progression, but where do they get the idea this is centralism? It seems more libertarian left to me. My theory, moderates are just liberals trying to be hip.
