The Constitution means nothing if there are not people to enforce it, or if the officials who are responsible for enforcing it are almost never held to account.

A lot of people in society, including appointed judges as well, think that many of the concepts of rights outlined in the country's Constitution are just outdated concepts. They have no understanding of the reason for these type of rights.

He was on the bench judicating anti-constitutional laws and had no problems doing it.

In my experience, most people don't care about anything other than abortion laws and gun laws. Everything else just goes to some kind of cesspool labeled "unimportant".

Admittedly, I am also guilty of this because I walked away from politics decades ago. I've only revitalized because I have children and am concerned about their futures.

So, the question becomes "How do we get people involved in the process of government that shapes our laws BEFORE they are in our own backyard?"
