First we had blubbering Boehner, and now we have sniffling Santorum, and crybaby Cain. From the party that cheers executions, cheers torture, boos gay soldiers there are sure a lot of crybabies vying for the top position.

 

I might tear up if Herman Cain became President.

But seriously, if your point is that despite their gruff conservative exterior they are sentimental mush balls at heart, I don't follow you. Edmund Muskie teared up (although he actually didn't) in the 1972 Democratic primary race, and it ended his presidential prospects. I think we have come a long way since then...

I recall sharing a few misty moments with Bush. One of them being the Medal of Honor award ceremony (posthumous) for Navy Seal Michael Monsoor who threw himself on a live enemy grenade to save his buddies. The award was given to his parents and I defy anyone not to have been moved. All of the Medal of Honor ceremonies get me that way.
