You argued for your definition of "woman" instead of seriously addressing the issues around her answering the question. Now, you suggest her real reason for not answering is fear of the cancel culture crowd.

 

This is the part that I get fixated on. And, it's not just that your "daughter" could be uncomfortable with a male changing in front of them. It's that the government requires you to put your child in school and then requires your daughter to undress in front of that male every day to avoid detention/suspension and pass to the next grade or receive their diploma. The thought of going to school with a male until you turn 14-18 years old, and knowing them as male that whole time, and then one day they change their mind, and the government requires you to change in front of them? This is a strange requirement... especially when studies show most minors who identify as trans will eventually change their mind and stop being trans, but in the meantime, they just get to stand next to your daughter while she undresses twice a day.

 

Christians haven't cornered the hypocrisy market. Most Christians are just living according to what they believe to be true. In order for hypocrisy to be a factor in anyone's life they have to be saying one thing but living contrary to what they say. You can disagree with a person's beliefs/opinions, but you can't call it hypocrisy just on that basis. I would have to say you're using too broad of a brush if you think hypocrisy is prevalent among Christians. But I do agree with you that hypocrisy can be repugnant, even among atheists. Prevalent? Not so much.

 

The kids you're talking about have no frame of reference that makes it sexual. We tell small children they have to wear clothes. Teenagers don't need the same admonition.

No, it's not "simple as this." The time and place for discussing these matters is related to when they need to know so they don't go looking for answers.

I'm just pointing out that gender issues were a tiny percent of this survey, the survey covered one school district and that the result is well off the accepted norm.

That calls for caution.

 

Everybody does one or the other. I am sure you have, but the fact of the matter is, the SC has reached historic levels of disapproval. I probably won’t consider voting for a Republican, no matter how moderate or better he might appear than a Democratic opponent, for at least two generations because of the current court. I am a one issue voter. My issue is the Supreme Court.

Are you claiming this is a issue being decided based on religion? You might be right. White evangelical Christians are the only religious group who are as a group opposed to abortion being available most or all of the time.

It's hard to put together the size of the opposition to abortion without consideration of religious affiliation.
