Most Americans don't want mask mandates to return – but Democrats do, poll shows

Democrats support the reinstituting or continuation of COVID-19 mask mandates, despite the majority of Americans saying they oppose the idea, a new poll says.

A Monmouth University poll released Monday asked respondents whether they "support or oppose instituting, or reinstituting, face mask and social distancing
guidelines" in their state at the current time. Sixty percent of Democrats said they support it, compared with 12% of Republicans.

Overall, only 34% of respondents said they support continued mask mandates, while 62% said they oppose….

It seems that the leadership of the democrat party is not alone in wanting to impose itself upon everyone else. It’s like a form of identity for them. 6 in 10 democrats want this while only 1 in 8 Republicans do. 5x the % of blue support this compared to red.

 

As if the Dems think that they will ever compel that upon the rest of us again over this particular illness issue. Forget about it.

 

Of course, they are the Party of Crime. it stands to reason they would continue to support masks to help them commit and get away with more crime.

 

Then don't go to a hospital, phyician's office or even a clinic because that is really the only place, across the United States, where masks are still mandated. However, if a person does wear a mask or if a busienss mandates their employees to wear a mask, we don't need the conservative Karen's of the world to act like Nazis, do we? Nor should we shame people for not wearing a mask when it is not mandated either by the other Karens

Democrats are just killing themselves prior to the midterms. People dont want masks but they're already mandating them again. Also, Democrats cant claim they beat the kung flu if they mandate marks and that's gonna hurt them, too. Add in all the other miseries Biden is creating and its basically suicide by liberalism.

I think we were the last state to remove the mask mandate. At that time we had the same rates as our Northern neighbor Colorado. When the mandate was removed, there was absolutely no increase in cases. The masks did absolutely nothing.

Where are you getting this idea from? First of all, the CFR of COVID-19 here in America is something like 1.2%, not 2%. But more importantly for your hope here, not everyone gets COVID. Despite all the "super-spreader events" and variants and surges, we've barely recorded 80 million cases among the US population of ~330 million (and less than 1 million deaths).
