No worries... I predicted that today would be boring, but it'll get more interesting...

I really dislike the format of the way questions are asked in these hearings... the rotating questioners and the limited time frame.

I'd much prefer 1 (good) questioner from each side for 45 mins to an hour per session... they can take notes from their side for additional questions, but one source doing the asking...

You know what would be funny? Barr shows up tomorrow, after grumbling about it for a full week, and Nadler says at the opening, "Thanks, but we won't be needing you today"...

Except the little fact that he DIDNT FIRE HIM. You guys are seriously losing your ability to think over this. Trump could have called him up and said your fired at any point but didn't. Trump did feel like he had conflict of interest, which he did by the way so are you saying he can't tell the AG his thoughts. Hell even Barr said even if he did considering it was brought by a falsehood he may could've legally done if Trump felt like it was hindering him from governing.

Contrary to Barr's continual insistence that the Mueller investigation was a criminal investigation, it was not.

The brief did not require Mueller to forward reccomendations to the Grand Jury for indictment.

His job was the determine whether the Russians interfered with the election (they did), and whether the Trump campaign has knowledge of that effort (they did), and whether they participated in it (they tried to, they tried hard).

That's a laugh! Unless competent means graft. Trump has plenty of grifters around.

The Mueller investigation wasn't a criminal investigation? Then why were people indicted? Flynn would really like to know.

Tom Trump didn't fire Mules and he could've at any point. Good grief your not thinking clearly. I don't care if he told McGahn to call and tell Rosenstein that Mules had conflicts of interest and to get rid of him. It didn't happen and Trump didn't call the next day and fire him therefore the investigation was never slowed on dang bit.

Barr testified today. Mueller did not. Barr complied with Mueller's request, and gave abundant context to McGahn's conversations with Trump. Much more context than contained in Mueller's report. Barr exonerated Trump again today on obstruction. Mueller's been put out to pasture.

Yes, that's a perfectly understandable point of view and if we were dealing in realityville it would make sense. Unfortunately, we are dealing in Trumpland, so nothing makes sense. Trump doesn't fire anyone directly. He either does it by tweet or seeks out some hireling to do it for him. Why? I have no idea but it is what it is. The web gets tangles quickly in Trumpland so it takes a while to unravel. I can't get into Trump's mind and wouldn't want to. Read the report.

So did he fire him by tweet or send someone to do it? Oh no...no he didn't. He wasn't fired

    You should read Mueller's remit.

Mueller's remit makes the reason for the investigation clear as well as including authorization for indicting those he finds to be criminals.

    Barr committed perjury.

He presented no defense for that.

He needs to resign - how can our top law enforcement arm be effective, represent the US (not Trump) AND lie under oath???

I agree it was a criminal investigation. The poster I was responding to claimed it wasn’t. Hence why he indicted where he could, and cleared the folks he couldn’t

It'd be the first good thing that scumbag(Nadler) did. Our argument over the four page summary doesn't exist if Nadler stopped badgering the DOJ and allowed them to release the full report in time which they did in record speed.

Barr has been totally transparent from the beginning. They may not like the conclusions, but that's a different thing from 'lying'.

Aww, they 'tried hard'. Such a far cry from your words a year ago, or even later. In reality, they didn't try any such thing, nor was there evidence of such.
