And the opioid epidemic in America is so much worse?

Can't we all just try and civilly talk with Russians here? They seem to be willing to turn a new leaf with Trump in office.

Can both sides stop trying to find the nastiest spot in each other's country and posting about it? No one cares.....

Have you seen the Kremlin? Red Square?

The architecture is so different, the sheer power of what they built is impressive. It's not like the White House or Statue of Liberty. All of their buildings screamed power to me and it was both beautiful and fascinating

Posts like these should be followed by pictures of heroin addicts in Detroit

What do you think? They ran out of cheap vodka, that Russians run on, and resort to anything with alcohol content. My friend works there for an oil company and he said Russians have this poor idea that you can filter anything with alcohol through a loaf of bread, rendering it harmless, and then party on. They kept finding dead Russian employees who went to parties...

Your proving my point for me, PEOPLE are (*)(*)(*)(*)ty. THEY are the ones that make up countries which in turn can be (*)(*)(*)(*)ty as well.

If Russia invades Lithuania, sure, I will be more than happy to take up arms and fight with you.

At this point I don't see Russia as the big bad boogiemen that some try to portray them out to be.

My biggest problem with Russia so far is their forum trolls and how "all the sudden" within literally a period of weeks, every forum I am a part of was inundated with half a dozen of them. It was so blatantly obvious and the 6 or 7 forums I take part in took a little time to adjust.

Now everyone see them like terrorism, just part of the modern day Western World and it's freedoms. We could take actions to ban or make illegal certain things in order to combat both examples if we wanted. But like I said before, more people are understanding terrorism is something they may always have to have as a possibility in their life, just like Russian trolls definitely should have the right to post whatever else they want. It always take a bit for society to adapt to new "things"

Their policies though? Meh? Pretty standard and if you were a Russian a lot of it makes sense. The Crimea thing is a perfect example.

If Russia did it slowly and trough the UN I bet the votes would have made Crimea Russian anyways. But that is not their culture, they see it as weakness to act otherwise.

    But I digress....

Both countries have plenty of bad people and it is pointless to pinpoint out any small group in order to try make a whole country look bad.

Did you see how many murders there were in Chicago?! That is definitely not representative of the entire United States

No need to research as per the news they've died after drinking that bath lotion,
how's the taste like. :confusion: you are quite fortunate to live and tell how was it.
It's not a stupid question but drinking bath lotion is really stupid.
It's not only a cheaper alternative but a stupid risky alternative.

Even if the cost of alcohol is high (presumably to attempt to discourage alcoholism), I would think that people would simply make their own. Water, yeast, sugar and away you go. A still is easy enough to construct.

Or you could drink "bath lotion" and go blind. I'd build the still myself.

Well I see not much different than some Indian tribes who would spray hair spray on bread slices and either chew or inhale it...that really messed up the insides!

Producing moonshine (samogon in Russian) is pretty popular today. Some people do it just as a hobby. Like having your own vodka plant. It's not so cheap - you have to buy special device or to construct it.

But you must realize here we're talking about fallen people, scum, the lowest level of society. Of course, nobody who simply wants to drink vodka would not buy a bath lotion called Boyaryshnik - at least because it's a nonsense - bath lotion with a name Boyaryshik, it sounds like absurd. And normally bath lotions do not contain alcohol at all. Of course such a name is intended to attract exactly this kind of people - deeply sick alcoholics. They are alcohol addict. They buy alcohol liquids not because they want to drink it sitting at a table with potatoes and roastbeaf, but because they need to appease a physical pain.

you do need to research, because 'bath lotion' in this case did not mean poison intrinsically, it only became such after wrong components added.

who 'you are' eh?.. my drinks being tea & coffee, i no idea; or your so braiwashed to think everyone in Russia drinks alcohol?

stupid are those, who don't do research before posting... it was no bath lotion per se, only going under the name of it to avoid taxation.

'stupid risky' is how you taking any info at face value, without even trying to learn the details.

because your blind, obviously... the 'bath lotion' in question had in fact been an alcohol drink that only carried a label of bath lotion in order to avoid taxation and be sold in farmacies instead of stores.

I read an article on this event a couple of weeks ago and felt really sad for the victims and their families. It's equivalent to some of the drug deaths we see here in Australia... illegal substances are always a risk, not only because of addiction.

That would not surprise me, freedom of speech would be very dangerous for Putin and his filthy rich friends stealing Russia's wealth. And if you're too busy looking for food in rubbish bins, you don't have the luxury of speaking out against corrupt government.

I wonder if this is how Trump fits into Putin's little ring of friendship?

I don't have to research about bath lotion,
and my comment about drinking or even trying to drink it out of curiosity is utter stupidity.

good point but Trum is not a czar like putler is. so if he is gonna take bribes from putler and his thugs like many far- right (fashists) and extreme leftists do , he will end up in prison very fast ...
