American taxpayers aren't sending a hundred billion dollars to the Kremlin, they're sending it to Kiev. And so we have a right to know how many Ukrainians have died in this war. But they refuse to tell us. Must be because they're performing so well.

I never spent much time on the Bible, actually. Just went along with how I was raised. I managed to maintain those beliefs through years of liberal arts studies, which of course included such subjects and more. How? By ignoring facts contrary to my beliefs, because my beliefs were emotionally significant to me at the time. Even though I appreciated science, I ignored what was contradictory to my religion. It was, in short, a personal issue.

And so it was with my political views once upon a time. I projected personal issues onto the world. I put the cart before the horse and ignored common sense and inconvenient facts in favor of an emotionally satisfying set of beliefs, and Russia's propaganda helped with that. That kind of stuff can be like a drug that supports a bad habit.

 

Only children focus on the words of a politician. It's their actions that really matter.

And Reagan made peace with Russia. He signed numerous historic arms control treaties and personally befriended the leader of Russia. He even seriously contemplated the total abolition of nuclear weapons during a summit in Iceland.
