https://www.reuters.com/technology/...-will-remain-well-positioned-2023-2022-11-11/ Im disappointed that musk is being so haphazard in his decision making process. For $8, you get a blue check mark and make yourself look official. I had hopes he was serious about building a better town square, but it seems more and more it’s just a vanity project. There’s bunches of examples. Someone spoofed a sportswriter’s account and tweeted that Justin Fields was being traded or something. I hope Musk can turn this around, otherwise, he just comes a big joke. If all verified means is you paid $8, you have no verification process whatsoever.
I was in contact with musk earlier about this issue, he explained it to me and it makes a lot of sense after.
As an industrialist, I didn't think Twitter was the technology that he had an interest. If Twitter was new on scene, certainly, but it has been around awhile
All these companies, all these verified nobodies, talking so much **** about Musk for years and betting against him. Now anyone can spend $8 and troll them? That's the joke IMO.
I’m not following that logic. Musk bought Twitter so anyone can pretend to be a famous person and tweet falsehoods? That is pretty much the exact opposite of his stated goal.
That's not where I was going (or imply he was going). I just find it funny that's where it went regardless. All these celebutards whining about leaving Twitter, all these brands pausing their ad buys. They all wanted out now they're all demanding their special lil' blue check status be protected.
