Musk did the democratic thing and restored the former president's account because a slight majority voted to have him back on Twitter.

Interesting. I guess I never read these tweets before. He was already banned before I had the chance. Trump's last tweets where he calls for law and order. And now should you want, you are free to follow him or read those tweets.

Good on musk! Freedom of speech should prevail and being that Twitter has a large liberal base I would say that the majority of Americans still support free speech.

Funny how you cut out the one of him trashing Pence while Pence was under attack by his cultists, but I wouldn't expect any less from someone who blatantly slings intellectually dishonest "Nazi" accusations. I'm glad those two milquetoast tweets (that even his own family admitted wasn't enough) give you the warm and fuzzies. Though I am sorry you are so opposed to private property rights. Meanwhile, Musk has no risk here. Trump won't actually Tweet anymore anyway, so he satisfies the Trump worshippers while not incurring any new risks.

 

Trump's freedom of speech was never under attack. His right to express his opinion does not obligate anyone else to publish it. Your right to say what you want does not entitle you to the use of someone else's bullhorn. And every platform, without exception, has terms of use. That isn't an attack on anyone's freedom of speech any more than THIS forum's terms of use are an attack on freedom of speech.

 

If you want the Pence tweets on the thread, post them.

Does anybody really expect Trump to keep his "promise" and stay off of Twitter?
Or, will this be just another in the long list of Trump's ridiculous rantings?
(Like "Mexico will pay for the Wall", Etc...)
Personally, I expect Trump to go rushing back to Twitter Quicker than a Greased Pig with Their Hair on Fire.

Actually that is only a slim majority and huge proportion fewer than the 88 million he had at the peak.
