Why not? No screening -- absolutely none -- is done of Muslims who immigrate to the U.S. to try to determine whether or not they hold jihadist sentiments. As imperfect as such screening would inevitably be, the fact that there is none is an indication of how willfully blind official Washington is. They assume that only a tiny minority of Muslims are "Islamists," and know that it would be the height of "Islamophobia" to question prospective entrants into the country about these matters in any way. That is true. Only a tiny minority of Muslims who wish to emeigtate to the USA are "Islamist". Anybody who shows cause for violence against the country IS questioned, or monitored or observed about these matters. And many who do NOT show cause for violence, as well. Many people who think like this really should pay some attention to current events and our HUGE government spending on "Homeland Security", and various 100's of thousands of "special inquiries, warrants, investigations and domestic and international spy technology and monster budgets.

It is not "we" who make people desperate, it's the Quran, which promises to martyrs an x-rated Islamic paradise...
