    So thinks everyone, as far as strongest goes. Polytheism is a word that describes those who believe in multiple gods. Since that is a belief, that means that there is no single "polytheism". This it cannot be truth, since one set under polytheism could be true and the others false. Or there could be multiple pantheons, but not all claimed pantheons are true. Polytheism itself, independent of any claimed deities, factually exists. Freedom of thought is either absolute or is absent. In the later case we wouldn't know it since we would have the freedom of thought to realize we don't have the freedom of thought.

    There is no single believed in deity. We do not know factually whether there is zero, one or multiple deities. There are indeed factually multiple religions, each with their own claimed deity or deities, not to mention prophets and such.
    Polytheism is the belief in multiple deities. However the polytheism of the Greeks is not the same as the polytheism of the Egyptians. Both would claim the other's deities as false and made up. No one polytheism can be claimed as the truth. Polytheism as a generality/label is of course factual, as there are still people today who believe in and maybe even worship a pantheon. Belief in and worship of are not automatically linked. The later requires the former, but the former does not require the later. But there is no factual proof that multiple deities exist.

    First you say you have one all powerful God. Then you say there are many Gods. Then you say there is you or what you think. So if there is one God as reason would suggest to be true. Then the many Gods are merely products of mens imaginations, and not real. This begs the question, exactly who is the one true God? This dilemma is the nexus for the multiplicity of Gods imagined by men to answer the question of who is the one true God.

    How does reason suggest it to be true that there is one god?

    If there is a God in this infinite universe of Trillions of planets and solar systems, I often wonder how any person thinks that this infinite universal god actually knows you exist or cares for a single individual much less humanity. Hence, what good is praying going to do?

    I see. There is a saying in America that a person is a chip off the old block, iow, like their Father. And so if God is a fantasy, then are you a fantasy too? But if there is no God, then how do you explain your existence and to assume the posture of autonomy as if you yourself are God. What is it about us that we think we are God if it is not that we come from a similar being who actually is the most high God.

    There is no god but God! (First law of Monotheism)

    Holy Quran, Sura 112:

    Say, (O Prophet) “He is Allah(God) - One (and Indivisible);
    God - the Sustainer (needed by all).
    He has never had offspring, nor was He born.
    And there is none comparable to Him.”

    The logic here is that the further back we trace something, we always end up at one single source: our Creator, the Creator of everything. :)

    That’s not really reason, it’s just a claim with no proof or evidence.

    I already know that God is real, that he lives and is divine. And that true life is in him rather than in myself or my life alone. Books and men cannot impart this knowledge to you. It can only come from God. Even if you believed me, that God is real. You wouldn't know it.

    I thought you meant support for one true God as opposed to many Gods. That said, reason supports the existence of God by virtue of a Gods unlimited capacity to make his existence known. He is testified of by many in the Bible and many today to whom he has made himself personally known by the ministering of his spirit. I am one of them. Reason is not held captive by science and the natural world. It can traverse the spiritual and intellectual realms as easily as a rocket can exit our atmosphere into space.

    Reason supports my testimony. One must know everything to say there is no God. But one only needs to know from God that he exists to say he does. It is impossible for man to know everything. But nothing is impossible for God. So reason comes down on the side of the possible.

    True, reason is not held captive but none of that is reason. It’s just more claims that can neither be confirmed or denied.

    Quite the contrary. What reason does not support is the statement that there is no God. It is an impossibility to say such a thing with confidence. Therefore to say there is no God is a venture devoid of reason, logic or any evidence whatsoever beyond ones personal experience of life without God. So if it is impossible to say that there is no God. Then to say with confidence that he lives is not only possible in reason but striking in authenticity. Reason supports this, especially in lieu of the many testimonies spanning thousands of years to that fact. It is reality. Granted so is madness. But a case could be made as to the madness of mankind without a true shepherd. Look around. Broken vows don't devalue vows. It makes them all the more valuable. Likewise false Gods or evils done in Gods name, take nothing away from the one true God. It only goes to make him all the more valuable.
