I submitted by COVID-19 poem to the California State Library COVID Diaries, and it is now on the state website:

    https://coviddiaries.library.ca.gov/2020/12/31/the-curse-of-covid-19/

    crown of thorns

    corona
    crown of sun
    coronavirus
    crown of sun god

    new crown of thorns
    angry at carbon plague
    ra shakes head
    thorns fall
    filling breath of man

    men who do not die
    cannot bear seed

    chariots parked
    giants birds cannot fly
    vessels stranded
    air and water cleansed

    ra pledges
    more thorns
    until man repents
