My recommendation to fix the DOJ: The next AG should be primarily a defense attorney.

    If we believe in the axiom that it's better to let 1 guilty man go free than to incarcerate 100 innocents. Then we do not need a prominent prosecutor at the head of the justice department. Instead, we need someone who will naturally hesitate and weigh all of the facts equally without regard for any consideration. And that would be someone who practices law on the defense side.

    This link is outdated but alot of these lawyers sound top notch and likely had very good assistants who could also be appointed. I think if the next POTUS appointed a defense attorney as attorney general, we could feel more at ease about the DOJ then at present. A DOJ that is impartial needs someone impartial to politics and feels no political loyalty to act. And that's what I'd like to see.
