I have never forgotten what my son told me in 2008 when Obama was running for President. He told me the "mean kids" supported Obama. That was three years ago, and he was in middle school at the time. But I can't say I'm surprised. Liberals act "mean" on this forum, so it doesn't surprise me they were "mean" when they were children.
Cool, why do we care? A bunch of middle schoolers "support Obama" probably like their parents do and probably why your son hates him.
I think mean people say things like: "Also, Democrats murder little children so there's a good chance voting Democrat will send you to hell." Neither Liberals nor Conservatives have anything to feel particularly proud about when it comes to calling the other side 'mean'. As a matter of fact, I think one of the worst things happening is the constant demonization by certain radicals of the left and on the right labelling anyone who doesn't think like they do as the enemy- and of course 'mean'. The reality is that most Liberal and Conservative Americans have more in common with each other than they do with the rabid members of the extreme left or extreme right. But you extremists are very, very loud.
