MyPillow CEO to pull ads from Fox News

Only 2 more weeks before we know everything Mike Lindell knows and Foxnews is not allowing him to promote it on their platform. Are they denying him freedom of speech?

Well I am not sure a company should be buying ads to promote the CEO's political speeches anyway,,,

 

I don't understand why people don't get "freedom of speech". It simply means you can say what you want to say. It doesn't mean anybody else can't take offense to it or are required to let you say it in their venue or on their website or television station.

It also doesn't mean that ANY and ALL speech is acceptable. You can't yell "fire" in a crowd, you can't say "bomb" in an airport, you can't accuse a voting machine designer of illegally stealing a presidential election. There are consequences, often immediate, for such actions.

 

If the guy wants to spend his money on ads saying the election was stolen why shouldn't he be allowed? It's a free country right?

 

He is allowed to do that. Networks are equally free to refuse his business.

 

So censorship by the media is okay. Nobody can post anything on Facebook if Zuckerberg nixes it. I see then.

 

100%, unequivocally agree. It's not private businesses responsibility to provide a soap box for people. They can chose to, or not to give Lindell a platform.

If Lindell has evidence, it's his responsibility to get it out and in all honesty, if there is merit, then he should have no issue. If it's merely conjecture, he's going to have a hard time finding a platform.

 

Fox News has been hit with a lawsuit over the false election fraud claims, they probably don't want any more trouble.

Not forced to but they should. Then run their own ads about how NBC is reduced to running ads on their network.

For one, Fox can't let it go, they are the defendant. That said, this election fraud BS is way over due for a reality check.

It seems strange to me that millions of Trumpists are claiming that the election was stolen by means of massive fraud which would involve tens of thousands of treasonous felons working together under heavy scrutiny. However I have not heard any specific names of those who were supposedly involved or how they did it. Just this mysterious entity that they call “the left”. What’s up with that?

Facebook and Twitter, just like these forums, have terms of service that the end user agrees to when they join. They are called rules. Are you being denied your freedom of speech when you get banned here?

 

Also in year 2020, you couldn't say Covid came from the Wuhan lab or that Fauci directed funds to the Wuhan lab. It is totally not offensive now that the election is over but it was immoral and offensive then.

Lets be clear. You have free speech just as long as it is speech that a couple of billionaires in Silicon Valley approve of. For example, the days of being able to call a man a biological male are coming to an end in Great Britain (it is hate speech to make such a statement now), that will also be occurring in America (even if it offends 90% of the American people) because that is what Silicon Valley wants. When it does, you and the rest of the left on this board will cheer it on. What will happen to your cheering when their decisions begin to offend you (because it will happen and it will affect you)?

 

No one would complain if the rules were being enforced evenly. But the evidence is obvious that conservative opinions are being hunted down and expunged from their platforms while liberals have infinitely more leeway. That doesn't happen here.

 

If what you are complaining about was true, Hannity, Tucker, Ingrahm, Newsmax and Infowars would all have no platforms at all. But what you are saying is simply your opinions and feeeeeeelings.
