So which Christian theology warps those passages to come up with the term - Official document of a perfect god ?
No, really! If this is really a valid interpretation of the Bible passages you quote completely out of context, there should be a major denomination which describes the Bible exactly as Official document of a perfect god Or maybe one of a hundred popes. A minor denomination? A published theologian? Or is it your own personal interpretation? If it is just your own personal interpretation, was it really appropriate for you to laugh at me?
Wait . . . you are seriously claiming that this is your first time hearing about people who believe that the Bible is the Word of God? I call bull **** again.
The Church I grew up in said thàt the Bible was the Word of God. And you are lying if you want to claim you've never heard of anyone who believes such
I have heard the phrase the Bible is the Word of God. However, I have never before heard the Bible referred to as the Official document of a perfect god. Heard in the case meaning both read and heard by sound.
So are you arguing that no Christian believes that God is perfect or are you arguing that no Christian believes that the Bible is His official document? Either way, I again call BS. I take it you've never met a fundamentalist Christian. The only way your claims could be honest is if you've never met one.
If perhaps "his spirit" would provide you with say a cure for cancer your claim would perhaps be credible. But of course that never happens.
It's more valuable to remember God, to know that he is real and that he lives. Every mortal thing dies. But he has promised resurrection and immortality to all. And eternal life, which is the quality of immortality, to those who keep his commandments and covenants.
@Bob Newhart , I need to ask again: which of the following are you claiming: 1) God is not perfect or 2) The Bible isn't the Word of God
God is all that exists. All the joy, love, death, suffering, and everything in between is simply God/creation/existence experiencing itself. Every one of us is just a tiny aspect of God, from the worst serial killer to the saintliest saint, from the most toxic particle of pollution to the most pure molecule of water.
Not at all. What God does is right because he is God. What might be questioned are those who present themselves as his representatives. Just because I wave the Bible and quote its passages, it doesn't mean I am Gods servant. I could be a liar or a lunatic. Similarly, I could present the Bible, its actors, authors, and followers as lunatics, and say there is no God. The adversary works both sides of an issue. As for the Bible itself, I believe that it is essentially true in general. If something in it doesn't make sense, I suspend judgment rather than throw it away.
No you believe god created the laws of physics. I believe god is another name for the laws of physics. Not the same thing at all.
That still seems exactly the same to me, or that it is such a tiny difference that it is totally unimportant.
You put anthropomorphic characteristics to god - things like sentience, intelligence, decision making, creation etc. The laws of physics have none of that. They aren't remotely the same thing.
