That has managed to deindustrialize ( all that nasty polllution ) and maintain its standard of living? America has to a large extent done so using the fact that it is the world's reserve currency ( that is everyone else has to bear its IOUs)- but is it a success? The UK did so using North sea OIl - making itself a primary producer. Oil and Gas have now run out. The Club Med ( particularly ) Italy is going through the same process - but not out of choice. Simply that they can't compete with East Asia. Which is probably the reason behind the Anglo Saxon decision.
