Looks like Cutler was more than a plus, huh. Amazing what one player can do for a team. It's all in the chemistry of the equation. The loss Ray Lewis took a lot out of Baltimore's equation. Think he'll be back for the playoffs if they make it?
Pats will have to go through Houston to get to the SB. Not saying the Pats can't do it, but it would be easier if they were playing at home in late January.
What do you want, a peer reviewed study published in a science journal? People are allowed to make casual predictions about what they think in an everyday conversation with everyday people. I thought this is supposed to be the laid back section of the board.
I never said otherwise. He is the one who is making absurd accusations, not me, telling me I have to "back up" my talk by making predictions each week. The fact is, none of us can "back up" our talk unless we demonstrate mathematically that our ability to pick winners is statistically significant and not the result of pure chance. Of course, I don't expect anyone to do that. I am just pointing out to him that picking winners and losers on a forum is not actually "backing up" your methodology.
Anyway, don't get too excited about that Bears victory. Clearly Cutler lends a confidence and swagger to the Bears that evaporates in his absence, and I've ALWAYS said Cutler is a (*)(*)(*)(*) good QB, and a tough SOB to boot, but his talents are not enough to overcome the O-line issues or the utter lack of creativity and adaptability at head coach; I hope they prove me wrong but I feel like the Bears buckle under pressure...
and now for a humorous interlude what have been your most memorable botched ref calls this year? I'll pick on the regular refs Big Ben's incomplete pass ruled a fumble in favor of the G men Houston Texans awarded a touchdown despite the runner having been tackled 75 yards earlier and then the refs rub salt into the wound by penalizing Detroit for the bad call the refs made.
Hold on, I'll see if my wife has an extra tampon for you.....Nope, you're on your own. Never said anything about you having to do anything, just challenged you to show that you had some idea of what you blather about. But you've only shown that you would rather wimp out and be pissy for some four or five posts. Just keep whining, we really enjoy it. Pft! There were so many yesterday, I'd really rather not try to remember. But the one that sticks out in my head, was the one where the ref was standing not more than ten feet from a receiver that trapped the ball lying on the ground, and called it a completion. It was overturned on replay, but c'mon man, if you can't see right in front of your face, get another job. Why is it that players can get suspended, but refs don't? And why don't they have a ref in the booth calling replays instantly, instead of the head ref going under the hood to make the decision? It would save 20 or 30 minutes a game.
That is not true in the modern NFL. You can go back in the years and see that most of the Superbowl Teams in the salary cap era have had games against bad teams and struggled even lost. You wont find a Superbowl Winner that was dominate against all bad teams. I'd say the most dominate Superbowl Champ we have seen in the past decade was the 2004 Patriots and they still lost to a 4-12 Dolphins team.
I really liked what I saw from Kaepernick the past two weeks. His mensurables are off the charts and he got a 37 on his wonderlic and he was considered a risk with a #2 just because he came from a midmajor team that runs a version of the spread. I'm a huge fan of what Chris Alt has done in Nevada with the pistol formation and the offense he has created around it. Its pro-style meets spread and allows a more balanced attack than your typical spread formation. Pistol is the future of football. In just a few years just about everyone has included pistol in their playbook.
The problem is that you are too stupid to realize that picking winners and losers without some kind of methodological controls will not actually demonstrate my expertise on the subject matter, but like I said, it's way over your head, so I will not waste my time trying to explain statistical analysis to a cretin like you.
It's just a qualitative-based analysis on my part. I just watch them play and I do not see that next level ability. They are good team, and I think they have a chance to go all the way, but I don't think they have a very good chance; I think the Niners and the Patriots are the clear contenders; though the Giants proved they are not to be underestimated.
not the Giants vs Patriots again. I can't bear to watch my Pats losing to that rat of a head coach again
Houston @ New England Dec. 10th My picks for this week... Atlanta Buffalo Chicago Detroit Green Bay Carolina New England N.Y. Jets Frisco Houston Denver Baltimore Oakland Cinnci Dallass N.Y. ants
not when the refs rule an incomplete pass to be a fumble. It seems the wet rat Coughlin gets calls to go his way all of the time.
Sun, Oct 14 - Giants 26, @ San Francisco 3 Been there, done that. Not to mention last years NFC Championship, which was also in Frisco.
Never fear, you'll get my picks, since they didn't have a good enough reason to ban me this week. I guess anyone with a brain would have picked Atlanta last night, as did I. I'm off to a roaring start....1-0. Easy picks this week for anyone not suffering from a hangover due to the obama economy: Buffalo Chicago San Fran New England N.Y. Jets Detroit Green Bay Houston Kansas City Denver Oakland San Diego Pittsburg Dallas N.Y. Giants
You can't pick the winner after the game is played. You're 0-1 Cons are like deadbeat parents. They run up $10 trillion on the national debt, and then give the bill to their children.
