U.S. Army General Keith Alexander was interviewed this morning by ABC's leading Democrat, George Stephanopoulos. George aggressively interrogated and grilled him about America's security systems and the innumerable glitches that are rapidly coming to light each day. The balding, weak-looking Alexander was visibly rattled and flustered. Before he began to read a prepared statement containing some quotes, Alexander, almost in tears, said that because he is an Army officer, everyone knows he can't read "good." What a stupid, silly and uncalled-for thing to say. His rambling and contrite performance was an embarrassment to the entire Army officer's corps. At one point, under pressure from Stephanopoulos, Alexander, typical of little bald-headed men, widened his eyes, pumped his eyebrows up and down, and smiled broadly seeking approval. It backfired. The whole interview was a humiliating disaster for him -- and the United States Army.
