NY Post - NBC orders psychological testing for David Gregory

    :roflol:

Liberals are such morons! They are usually blind to the obvious but never fail to fixate on the ridiculous.

You're kidding....... I had heard bits n pieces of this, didn't pay much attention and this is what's happening? Wow.....

The libs really believe if they call in the psychiatrists, they can improve Gregory's 'likeability'? He is who he is and at his age, there's no changing it....particularly if Gregory isn't motivated to change any of his unpleasant, arrogant mannerisms.

Is it really because Gregory is unlikable? Or is it that people dont care for what NBC is serving up as a news program? I have a feeling that even if Kate Hudson hosted, their audience would be slumping due to the content and slant.

But.....the brass arent going to think that. Nope, off to re-education you go Mr. Gregory. It HAS to be you.

OH pleaaaasee!! Are you truly this OBTUSE or so blindly partisan to think no one on this board knows anything?? IT'S CALLED MARKET RESEARCH. It involves 'psychology'. The keystrokes you and I are making on this board might very well be tracked and/or sold to a marketing research company to find out what psychological characteristics we exhibit so WE would watch a HANNITY or a GREGORY or a BLITZER or 'buy' a ROMNEY or an OBAMA or a BUICK or a TOYOTA or a BUD LIGHT or a POP TART or VERIZON or or or!

Ask MC CAIN'S 'marketing team' all about it. Ask ROMNEY's 'marketing team' all about it. They paid HUGE sums for it as did Obama's team--who did it BETTER.

It's that Gregory is following a fair and balanced journalist who truly cared about being fair (or unfair) to both sides. Russert loved pinning down politicians of both parties with equal glee (despite the fact that in his personal life he was a liberal democrat). Nobody on the air today does that.

Gregory is really that unlikeable. I haven't been able to watch more than about one segment of MTP since he took it over. I can watch people like Melissa Harris Perry, but not Gregory.

I did enjoy this one from the OP article"Meanwhile, sources told Page Six that NBC had commissioned audience tests of other replacement hosts, including NBC political director and chief White House corespondent Chuck Todd, who we are told scored even less favorably than Gregory." I agree with their audience test there as well. Chuck Todd is knowledgeable, but he really needs to be limited to election nights and an occasional segment.

Funny. NBC denies the whole thing. "No, we didn't bring in a psychologist", "No, we didn't market test other anchors". Wonder if anyone has considered that people may just not be watching an NBC news program because NBC lies so much. If they need to fix a "brand", that's the brand they need to fix.

Does anyone tell the truth anymore? Actually, I don't trust anyone or their idiotic, agenda driven bs, whether Left or Right. But when it comes to blatant lies and deliberate deception, it's hard - no, more like impossible - to top progressives. Lol - "progressives" - talk about a misnomer.

I don't think they really would want to send the MSNBC staff to a shrink. :roflol:

To be fair to Gregory, Russert was a tough act to follow. But Gregory might as well have moved Meet The Press to MSNBC. He doesn't challenge his establishment and Democratic guests, he relishes being in their company. They are all old friends and with a few exceptions, their discussions are friendly kaffeeklatsches. Only Republicans and their allies get the tough questions and half the time, Gregory doesn't even know what the though questions should be. The administration has gotten pass after pass by the media, and that was not the experience of this show under Russert. Gregory doesn't need his head examined; I do for still watching the show even though it's gotten progressively lamer.

Yeah - marketing crap aboundth, fer sure. No argument there. But wanting to run his family through their makeover to get their proper psycho-packaging??? I mean, he's a news person, not a freekin, phony-ass politician.

Actually, the enlightened ones at NBC should be the dopes sent to the shrink. After all, they're the ideologues that took a once excellent program and subjected it to their partisan lunacy to the point where its become just another piece o' sh!t adventure in progressive hokus pokus.

I starting tuning into SUNDAY MORNING on CBS almost 40 years ago. Depending on what was going on that week, I may or may not have clicked over to see Meet the Press. (Now, I have the luxury of watching Meet the Press later on MSNBC or 'recording' it). All in all, as 2 generations age out, under 40's DON'T watch the Sunday morning line up like we did in the past--that was 'must see TV' for the informed middle class for 5 decades. There have been articles about this drop for MONTHS--prior to this Gregory story. It may be a dying genre, though, I really hope not!

Well, I don't know about you, but I'd switch from CNN to NBC as my liberal perspective news source.

I'd tape it and run it side by side with FOX's "Happening Now".

Why? Because it would be too expensive or all the shrinks would quit?

Exactly! The liberal agenda coming back to bite one of their own.

    - - - Updated - - -

I just watch Morning Joe so I can cuss and yell at Mika when she rolls her eyes at the "boys".

Most of my liberal friends and family members say they watch liberal comedians to get their news. Probably explains why progressive talk shows and tv shows don't do well.

Well I think it was in first place before Russert died.
I'd rather see Chuck Todd or maybe even Luke Russert
