    Hi,

I am a new member, and that is because I got tired of my old forum, which had a different topic as it's focus, a less interesting one, and I suddenly had the urge, as I often do, to blab on about a bunch of complicated things that nobody I know in real life cares about.

So I google "political forum" and you guys are number one. great, it's like you're famous. I bet that's why you get spammed so bad.

Well after an entire day of waiting for any of my writings to be approved by the gracious volunteers, nothing has happened except for all of my writing to be deleted from my view, where I can not even go back and look at how good it is.

I truly wish that you were not the top google search result, because then I would have absolutely moved on to DIFFERENT FORUM BY NOW.

Do you want to discourage new members? I mean there are probably hundreds of valuable people who have been annoyed to heck by this as I have, and who care less about joining the website with the top google search than I do.

Hundreds of people will be annoyed into leaving your site by not being able to post for a day.

Here is how you block spammers:

Implement a report function so that conscientious members can load a page for their recreation, not volunteer time, and they select a choice that says it is a spammer.

One or maybe two votes indicating it is spam? Send it offline and back to a moderator for approval.

People being jerks falsely reporting spam to hurt other users? Moderators can see that and ban jerks.

This way, you can avoid directly slapping the face every new member who joins the forums.

Seriously, I dont join a forum in order to wait until tomorrow. I am going home to go drink some wine now, and if what I write is not on the internet, I am not going to enjoy posting here tonight. so why would I stay?

Also, I am mostly writing this post because someone seems to have indicated that if I make ten posts then it removes this curse from my soul
