I am going through an existential crisis. The untold truth is that most women dress for other women. Straight men will look at the outfit you thought about all day and carefully crafted and say: "You look nice." Women will say: Oh! I love that scarf! Where did you get it? It looks great with that outfit. Can I borrow those shoes?" Given my new haircut and attempt to look "different", say I had to go somewhere or do something I hadn't done in a long while so I'm out of my element...what should I or could I get away with wearing? Something like this? Or this? ^^Too much? Or not as bright but shorter with black tights? Or maybe just what I would normally wear a high necked something with scarf? I want female opinions because I have no intention of dressing like a hooker.
Well, the only thing I can say is every woman has her own style. Some like the 'busy' ultra feminine style, like ruffles, etc... some like simplicity, which is my style. The outfits here are nice. Not overdone, but stylish and would fit into just about any occasion that I can think of right now..... The one thing I don't like is so much jewelry. Several chains or one over-sized necklace draped around the neck, long dangling earrings, a bracelet or 2 or 3 and every finger wears a ring or just about is to much. They look like a Xmas tree w/all those ornaments hanging from them..... keep the jewelry to a minimum. Color coordination is important, but you'd know that. The one thing I've seen some women wear that makes me cringe is bright fire engine red lipstick and very long bright red finger nails..... Btw, Z - do most women really dress for other women? Meaning their motive would be competition....I need to think about that b/c I never did. I dress for myself and/or my guy.
I would wear the black top with the white skirt - love that. Then wear the red dress for Christmas time.
Might be a guy, but if my wife asked me what I thought of her dressing habits, I would tell her, if she likes it, then she should wear it. Dress how you want to, the clothes don't mean anything unless there's a body wearing them.
Ok. Then there are men who want to be proud of their wives/girlfriends appearance when they're out in public.......
Oh no, I'm not doing this. Not going to waste my time when a 16-17 yr old kid comes up w/his silly, juvenile stuff like this. And your comment doesn't make any sense.......
I must be missing something..the styles in the OP all look basically the same style to me. Even the bottom one has the same shape. And I didn't understand the question, perhaps you could clarify. What is the occasion (maybe have a better chance of knowing what would be suitable if we know what you're going to be doing and where...roughly where I mean, or the sort of place). And why do you want to change style?
There is nothing wrong with dressing like a hooker, actually I believe that the next Largerfeld line is called hookers on crack. That is what I thought.
Im not a woman but ive been drinking and when I do that I feel like I tap into my feminine side. I like the last picture, i guess what you normally wear. If it aint broke dont fix it?
One thing women can wear around their heads to make them look more attractive……is their ankles.
As a woman, I would prefer the most conservative ensemble in the OP. I do not like it when the dress are higher than the finger tips, and they all pass the test. But the third one gives more coverage, and something to think about for the men.
I would never dress you like a hooker....I would dress you like a Wookie...bullet strap and all. You've left out vital information. Who is gonna be at this 'something or somewhere' that you've not been in so long? I'd need to know your body type too; pear shaped, hourglass, thin, round, etc. If you have a nice bust line, you can pretty much dress as demur as you'd like as long as you accentuate them bazookas. But judging by your prospective wardrobe selection, your strength is your legs. You don't necessarily need a lot of leg exposure to look noticeable and unassuming. Depending on the conditions of your location you could go with a scarf rather than some fancy jewelry. In the winter you might want a sturdy material like suede, or something like this: But it all really depends on how many hizzos you're trying to inoculate yourself from reproach. For many hizzos scale back on the boobage and legs, you don't need it. If it's just your....beau...then use all the weaponry you have. Men are dense.
As someone that has made a living as a hairstylist since 1975, in my opinion, there is far too much vanity in the world today. It has put a lot of money in my pocket, but it's worthless profession as far as doing anything for the betterment of society. To make a lot of money as a hairstylist, you have to get women to be more vain. You have to talk them into hair colors, permanent waves, highlights, Brazilian waxes(that's kinda fun), and new styles to keep them coming back to spend more money. It's the same with the clothing industry, it's all about vanity. The more vain women are, the more money is made. The whole vanity industry is just such a plastic way of life, it's very shallow. Look at my avatar, and then try to imagine me as a disco king, like in Saturday Night Fever. Yeah, funny huh. If women really want to feel better about themselves, and men too, they would work on their spirit instead of their appearance.
Was, a long time ago. Back in the 70's when disco still existed. I still have my hairstyling license though. But I don't put chemicals on women's heads any more. Henna hair color is all natural. And you can use it for temporary tattoos. http://www.amazon.com/Henna-Hair-Dyes/lm/R306VFPLNEZ8EN
My gf henna's her hair weekly and I usually apply it for her. Her hair is strawberry blond and a red henna makes her a most natural looking redhead. As far as dressing is concerned there are a few things that make a difference. If you are busty, there are some cloths that just do not look as good like they would on a woman that has a small chest. It seems to me that small breasted women can wear a lot more variety of clothing. Personally, I like stylish blazers or jackets with jeans or slacks on a woman or a nice slinky but not overly exposed dress. My gf is kind of edgy and wears stuff like this but usually in black and she is fairly thin. Something like this Muubba Hepner jacket.
